  1. cheers stu, andy....got a lump in me throat :hyper: and yep never in a million years thought it'd go to germany!!....i really hope he enjoys it mate, drive it like it should be driven and not be just a garden ornament or another car in the long line of irratable drivers following tractors on way to work!!...and to think i could go without one is obscene, i'm already getting me brain ticking on how to get back within next couple of years, the thing i'll miss most is the reaction when you drive through, you hear kids shout "scooby"!.. you can be 100yrds away and someone will turn their head. i can't bare to think i won't get that again. ... i'll always give my bit of experiance yes, if i don't know i keep quite :D

    cheers boys.:hyper:

  2. sold me wagon today, never thought i could do it, these things must be done.

can't get another for a while.... but i will one day and probably newer i think.

so here we are.. scoobyless and driving a crappy old combo van untill i get somthing more comfortable like a wheel barrow :hyper:

not going anywhere though, can't stay away from here so sorry .... more verbal nonsence and meaningless information still coming this way :D

    avator soon changing :hyper:

  3. imho the TSL group N box for less that £200 delivered is great value, i have one on me wagon....sorry had one :hyper:.. sounds nice , not overly loud and 4" so it don't look like a dustbin stuck to the underside and sound like a fart in a bake bean tin. :hyper:

  4. hi mate welcome to the club,... i used to use me scoob for work but even the 200 mile a week was too much for the wallet, lucky if i get 180 miles to a tank, i average 19 mpg on a 311bhp uk classic  b roads and town/urban driving... it was cheaper for me to buy a old combo van for work and leave scoob collecting dust on driveway  .. take the advise all above matey ... can't add anymore!!.. good luck

btw... i'm 35 FNC TPFT all mods declared... paying £360 a year..

  5. i'd have to have a look at mine tomorrow, i got a my96 uk wagon and i'm sure it's the same, i used to have mud flaps fitted and they rubbed on the wheels on full lock... and mines straight, had many sets of shocks / springs fitted in last few years and done all my arb's last year no probs..so it can't be too far out !!!:rotfl:

have a look at the garage section of mine ... and others to see if you get an idea :rotfl:

  6. HAGGLE!!!!.... :P

where abouts are you then matey?.. was selling my uk wagon a while back.. still thinking it's gotta to go....a few mods too ;)

a lot of us use keith michaels for insurance, (gary moulson)

good luck with the hunting, and don't be afraid to ask anything.. we shall help you in any which we can.. ;)

  7. yep v-power for me too ...trouble is when the shut my nearest one 4 mile away... i had to use a gallon and half to get topped up!!.... i'd drive past the esso and tescos to get to the shell garage  .. once a week now though at 19 mpg

i wouldn't ever use anything thing less matey, 95 ron and those cheaper supermarket fuels are trouble,

  8. well thats supprised me!.. even though i enjoy the drive to p'borough it's handy being a bit closer. but as mentioned..not very central and not as straight forward to get on and off the island... and driving through colchesters tight roads en-route,

the date is a pain as thats our busiest time of the year

anyway being as it really depends on the tide in which time you'll get on or off....here are the times of the high tides

    aprox:

    thu-10am and 10:30pm

    fri-11am and 11:20pm

    sat-11:40am and 00:10am (sun)

    sun-12:30pm and 00:50am (mon)

from the friday night tide onwards these are the higher ones to avoid ... and depending on the wind speed and direction they could be worse or ..not.

    fekin annorac!:occasion14: ...

will be different and intresting, hope to see you all there....after i do some groveling for a day off :occasion14:

  9. Stu!!... i had this feeling as soon as i wrote it that it was us who took it back.. appologise to the peeps concerned ;) and i didn't want to take the headlines away from the yanks :D

anyway stu.. did we find any weapons? :barf: can't remember .. from 1991 to 2002 i was drunk B)

nick, may be worth having a word with phil about it, might help. get his views on the situ, sounds good that you can do some stickers and that... i can put a nice big one on the side of my combo :D see what intrest like you say matey on snet

Stu.. when you coming back old friend?... want us to save a few tubs of v power for ya incase it goes teets up :P

  10. guys this has been started over on scoobynet ( dare i say it) and i think it is about time we did something, please any help and support is needed so anyone who wants to take part please sign up and the date of the protest will be released when there enough members

    bttt

yeh read it and fully understood... signed.. we are all in the same boat so best we all unite and hit em were it hurts.....

just a thought>> the amount of shows ect.. during the season japfest, jae kind of occasions is there a way we can show the concern and feeling of this amongst the seperate club stands ect.. few flags, banners, car stickers (at a price to a good cause :occasion14:) all in good taste of course and nothing to interupt the shows, good publicicty...it seems in the past we all shout and rant that we do this and do that but in the end we sit and wait for others....it's not going to happen is it?.. i think if we shout loud enough as a combined group and keep at it... someone may listen..

didn't the fuel prices go up during the first gulf war?..when iraq invaded kuwait and melted the depots and rigs... the only peeps who are not suffering with the prices it seems are the ones who captured kuwait back... cunning.. still at it now aren't they.

  11. actualy was last weekend ..... don't ask what i was doing up there..just don't make sense :hyper:

anyway blue classic parked up for sale in scarborough

silver classic in withernsea down narrow road in the town,

    silver wagon in skipsea,

and one in filey....ain't got a clue what roads and you won't know me especialy as i was in a tdci focus with a ex-taxi driver at the wheel really pi55ing me off......... :)

  12. yeh don't use low octane fuel, you'll get det and not do any good, i got mapped for v power, and 100 miles not going over 3000 rpm :( i'd do £20, average about 19mpg, car for me is no good for work ..so bought a deisel van which can return anything up to 70mpg :o (1.5 td combo  ) i was low on deisel thursday so i wiped the frying pan out and diluted it with some blue bottle pi55 and it got me to work :P

    not really :P

  13. £1.169 in Northampton at the weekend!

    I stuck with Tesco 99 for £1.099

had to use total earlier coz i left it too late and that was 115.9 !!...only put a tenner in..just enough to get me to shell in morning.. and why is tesco now the same price as shell?!!... gonna get car re-mapp for terps substitute i think.

  14. you got some good advice there me old friend, ..oh welcome to the club matey! :D

i'm going to honest.... this is the most reliable car i've had barring my vw tdi passat, the money i've spent has been on brainstorms and catching the BUG.. beware  as for insurance..a lot of us use keith michaels, ask for gary moulson..(moley-wrx i think he is on here) he's numbers here somewhere, i pay £360 fnc at 34 on a modded uk wagon. and fuel. :D well, i mainly use b roads and just lately quite slowly, i range from 170 - 220 to a tank.. hence why i'm getting a diesel for work now, i service me self, easiest car i've done a service on tbh, plugs are a pain though B)
