  2. i only seem to pass scoobs when driving me focus...... they'll think i'm mad if a wave at em B) ... but yep it's a real good thing that you get the wave,

but do you wait for them, do you read there body langauge, or just stick your arm up regardless ;) ??

i sometimes do the 'oh didn't see you till last second' if i think they won't wave .... just to let them know i'm not ignorant and i love my car :)..........

  3. welcome to the club matey, if you went for a turbo what model year would you get?... or 'classic' 'bugeye' 'blobeye' i'm think the diffference in cost :

eg..... classic turbo anything £1500 upwards..... 20-25 mpg, servicing can do your self B) but once you got bugged you'll be spending money on.... goodies ;)

    good luck,

  4. yes same here, depends what your going for in the future, i had a uk wagon std at 208 bhp, decided to fit a newer low miler engine, .....along with yellow injectors, fuel pump, decat, headers, induction kit, and some other engine saving parts ..oil pump ect...... and then front mount.... then apexi power fc ...result on i addmit a sh!t map....was 311bhp, the map was rushed and could been better, Jolly green monster has i think re-mapped it since it's been in germany... but don't know the outcome but was mentioned how bad the map was...... i was going for 350,

so if your thinking ahead and got the dosh...go for it, i spent 10k over 4 years coz i couldn't make my frigin mind up

  5. lol. yep sounds familar! .... my old wagon i'd spent 10k in 4 years, and i said the same about this one, i got it on the 4th friday night, drove it to work sat & sun, it's been on my drive since 7th sept in bits, changeing exhaust from a 3" to a 2.5" , changed locks, fitted new handles, centre trim, ripped bundles of cables out, fixed rear foglight to come on from the power from front fogs, new intercooler, reset clocks back to mph and adjusted mileage  , speed converter, new front bumper and splitter and a few odds and sods, i've got to fix oil leaks, refit air filter, adjust the suspension as it's scrapping the dirt off the drive, fit new exhaust, get a psint job on new bits and maybe think about driving it :rotfl: lol.....

  6. hi there matey, see the girls have said hello

    and phil :rotfl:

welcome to the club, enjoy it, and yep uk 2000, started at 208bhp, then 215 i think, wrx anything upwards and different gadgets, i miss my old uk wagon, but not had this wrx long enough to compare, in bits at mo on drive getting it back right after being drove through halfords shop window by the looks....

  7. hi mate, welcome to the club firstly

the noise is it persistant, like there as clockwork,...then warms up and getts better?.....

i have similar tapperty noise on my wrx on the left side too, not clockwork though, bit here bit there, i don't like it but once warm it sounds like a sweet engine, was contemplating putting another oil pump in,

sure someone will advise on this soon, :rotfl: ... am thinking if it's bearings too, once the oil fills the gap as such it goes quite?

  8. I bought a genuine v5 spoiler off japperformanceparts uk it might be worth trying them, i paid £295 for mine, most of them replica ones are bad quality and fitment.

just going to google them .. cheers, .. i'm trying to weigh up the money situ, got rocker covers to sort out as they leaking and think i got cam seal gone, might have to do cambelt and oil pump for peace of mind too :rotfl:

  9. looking at replacing my little wrx rear spoiler,

have a choice of two,....... a mid level with brake light ... not over the top and think it goes better with the older classic, or a version 5/6 large one,

bearing in mind it's a farely normal looking wrx but having a version 4 front splitter fitted soon.

what you guys and gals think??? :icon_salut:

  10. cheers for replies, i must admit i wouldn't want to be in his shoes right now, must be horrible.

i was fearing the worse, i thought this was pay back for me taking a chance buying another scoob, karma eh!!???

anyways i'm relaxed a bit more now, and going through the car thoroughly, just pulled a huge bundle of cable going to and imaginary amp somewhere in the back.... he just cut the wires!... ..... taken the front speakers out as they were knocking ..(wrong type)

waiting for new trim and section where the radio fits ect... it's a bloody mess! changed the locks, waiting also for new door handles as n/s was smashed after a break in, where do i stop!!!!........ sorting the clocks tomorrow, still in kph, and jacking the car up to get the zoorst off...
