  1. Always a joy to watch, it's just a shame that he is soooo good at this with more conventional diffs than when using fancy WRC equipment (for those who believe they are the same, do some investigation and find the differences)
  2. Yep, you can definately get a laugh with Megan, makes it easier when she knows that my GF is having my wee boy in 15 weeks. Having a kid is like pretending you are gay so women will talk to you. Women are never intimidated by Dads or Gay guys - and thankfully they aren't 2 groups that can easily be mixed up!
  3. Well, surely you shouldn't be posting since you don't mind a bit of lycra, spandex, chocolate body paint or anything that involves a whip! Oops, editing to notice you were bitching about those people that take up too much room on our roads and don't pay any tax duties for the privelege. But the rest still counts Gmac .
  4. Yep, heading down to meet up with the boys from the UK Legacy Forum. Just going down in the trusty Mondeo TD, down and up for £80. Quite a good day out, really enjoyed it the last couple of times.
  5. Quite amazing - only 5 other replies apart from my own. And yet everyone I talk to has looked at the photos - what does that tell you?
  6. No that's the amount of people he thinks he might manage to fool in to believing that he was only doing 70mph when the engine let go in the Scooby!
  7. I've got to admit, I get hankerings for a bike again. I passed my test no problem, but I did race motocross when I was a kid, so my biggest problem was keeping my speed down. My first road bike was a VFR400 NC30, and although it wasn't terribly quick (quick enough though), it could almost out corner anything - it was almost like ESP, you thought of a corner and it did it for you. I had an early ZX6R after that, and that was a pig compared to the Honda. I would dearly love a shot on either a VFR750 RC30 or RC45, apparently sublime to ride. Scooby222, I love those Repsol colours, and the 996 is absolutely gorgeous
  8. ME!!! easy peasy - what wheels do you have Kenny?
  9. I've recently started modifying the house for a garage conversion since I have a brand new wee laddie due to be delivered by the stork on the 22nd December. Now most folk these days use the garage as a storeroom, and my g/f is no exception, only this garage is worse than most. So to utilise space better, I decided that 2 new sheds would be required to make the best of what space I had and for the most cost effective way to get them with as little grief on my part (also read labour!). So I decided that a lovely big 15' x 8' shed would sit at the back of the garden, and a long thin 12' x 3' shed would sit neatly down the "wasted" side of the house which would let me store my large collection of power tools and my car parts and polishes. To this end I had to purchase 30 3' x 2' slabs which were laid over a month ago over 2 weekends, the first weekend laying 27 of them to create a large paved area for the large shed to sit on. And so arose the downside. Approx 9 years ago, I was in my mum's Sapphire Cosworth when some stupid bint ran in to me from behind at 25mph. It put my back out, and the insurance company paid for 6 months worth of chiropractic treatment. Well, I recognised where the pain was immediately after laying the slabs and over stretching myself. So the next day, I tried hunting down my old chiropractor, who as most of the Glasgow based ones are, is Australian. Unfortunately, he has not long returned to Oz, so rather than travelling far, I decided to go to the local Paisley clinic. I had a fair idea of what the cost was going to be, and knew it wouldn't be a one time visit . And this is where the upside arose, the only chiropractor that was available was new to the practice, her name is Megen, and is always up for a laugh. Oh, and she is fit. I told Terzo Neil of this story, and we thought about posting up here, but knew the first post would say "this thread is pointless without pictures", so I mentioned this to Megen, who was slightly embarassed but did let me know that she had been to a J & H party where you had to dress as anything beginning with J or H. She dressed as Jailbait!! That night when out, her mum was over at the Edinburgh fringe seeing the Aussie comedian Adam Hills, and one thing led to another, and Megen was invited over for the next show, only if she dressed as Jailbait. She duly did, and now I have both pictures. This lady now delivers SadoMasochism in a professional and legal way. Anyone else with back problems?
  10. Nice to see nice clean emissions Neil, not polluting our atmosphere
  11. I only really used them for oil filters and such in the past. I did go for a test drive in a Classic when they were still new back in 1999, and the salesman drove the car and didn't let me or my ex drive it, even though it was for her! I use Halley's all the time now, Paul in the parts department is awesome, and tries really hard to get it right first time, even on JDM stuff.
  12. Ciaran, I may have someone for the Rallye if you are selling it.
  13. If I didn't have a week booked down in Scarborough in October I would have had this off you. I'll ask about and see if anyone wants it.
  14. So as the Pirelli add used to say "Power is nothing without control". So you have AP's, but what else do you have in mind to get all the power to Terra Firma. And in all reality, do you have any intention of going on any driver training courses, as even the great Walter Rohrl admits there is a limit to which any man can control, and this reply is aimed at all those with very large power outputs.
  15. Good choice on the coilovers and ALK, you won't be disappointed. Derek if you have a shot in a properly set-up car with KW's it doesn't leave you any option. Definately well worth the money
  16. I actually had the KW's on an original Series 1 Legacy RS. They were bought secondhand, used for about a year and then taken off because I was selling the car on, and the next owner wanted it returned to standard. They fitted straight on to Neil's Terzo, and simply needed some height adjustment to get them right. The ride quality was outstanding even with 215/40R17 Yokohama Parada's on it, with most small bumps not noticed, and reasonable control over large jolts. I've since fitted them for Neil, and believe thet are still working as well (god knows I would have heard about it if they weren't!). The only comment I would make, is to pay the extra (£300 I believe) for the adjustables, just in case the non-adjustables damping isn't to your taste. Hope this helps Craig
  17. Sounds like the rattle pin on the pads to warn you the pads are getting low. Just a guess though.
  18. Only caught the highlights of the Hungarian GP on the BBC with the red button last night. That fully chaos pit stop stramash was possibly the highlight of the season so far. I don't know why they still go to Hungary though, the track offers virtually no passing opportunities (unless you are Lewis on Ruebens!)
  19. I had a set of KW's that I sold to Terzo Neil, and we both agree that they are excellent units. The only difference is that I had the adjustable units. Bilstein stuff is generally very good, but you do find the GT-B boys complaining that the standard units do wear out, but only after a long period of time.
  20. 45 mins my 4rse. I can manage one in less than 15 mins. My ability to put my hand in a confined space and get a job done is just one of the reasons my g/f loves me
  21. So most folk are pretty much in agreement - they deliberately broke the rules. What would consider a fitting punishment. I personally believe that the drivers should be allowed to keep their points (as they were just following the orders of their bosses), but the team should be stripped of any team points awarded at the German GP.
  22. Looks like plenty of thoughts. Sure, you want the team to be in the strongest position, but as pointed out, is Massa that far behind Alonso, and the team would still have had a 1-2 finish. And the bigger problem for the team principal since this affair is all very public now is that he has taken a risk which MAY ultimately exclude them from the race if the FIA take it any further, and the chance of losing ALL OF THE POINTS. So if you were team manager Davie, would you take that risk or would you believe that your team were bigger than the rest of the sport?
  23. Nice to be recommended, Cheers Richie. Stewart must really have put a good word in for me!
  24. Thanks troops. Stewart, yours was nice and easy to do - I like it when they are that simple. No doubt Mic, I'll be doing the full Xzibit to yours when I see you.
