  1. Sent them andy via aol cause my SIDC dont allow me. Fai, thats them but mine are on blue/black I just got pinged for replying to quick to thread, wots up with this site now.
  2. Just fitted my new alloys, 18" Oz Superleggras on Toyo tyres 225 x 40. The car rides firmer and with the geometry just done to Prodrive settings the car fair is nippy into bends and no oversteer. Another thing I noticed compared to my STi alloys 17" the speedo is now only 2 miles out it used to be 3. I would post pics but since the changes I cant do a fooking thing, signatures, profiles or attach files. Wot a waste of time.
  3. "wee bit of sawdust and it will be right as rain" "my dads a millionire"
  4. Stirling prices is at 94.9p. As its not 95p, oh for that loved 0.1p sales seem happy with. The poor old petrol companies only make 20p per litre, they make nearly a loss selling it, 80% of their profits are generated by selling prior to refining. It seems its all the greedy govt fault. Another reson not to vote, damn taxes local or hidden.
  5. Was going down to Gateshead to pick up some alloys last Saturday, to be honest have not done the east coast route south for years always went via Carlisle. I was surprised how many speed cameras they were, my road angel was doing overtime, least it works and found interesting the sign posts with how many victims in the last year, etc for what appears a very straight road with dual carrageways. It came home to me when over the border I was stopped for fully an hour and no traffic movement both South or North. I was eventually approached by a lone policeman who asked where I was going and then redirected me west, it would not have been so bad but I had no road map as I had printed off a auto route, I was well lost, he he. Anyway to do this I passed the accident that caused the road blockage. The poor sod needed cut from the vehicle and the roof was on the verge but the car was nowhere to be seen and a Helicopter sitting in the field aside the road, paramedic/doctors and ambulences with fire brigade were all in attendance. One more for there sign posts as I did not see anything on sunday papers but he/she was getting heart start as I passed. Oh for the grace of god go thy. Oh some other thoughts, Newcastle are crap for Optimax, went to the one just west of Gateshead, no optimax at all dont they know they are going to run out, had to go east and nearly to the tunnel to get fuel. Geordies a would not accept such service. It was cheaper than in Striling though. I also see the Kincardine Bridge Shell garage is closing (March) as the new bridge road or connection is going through it and the caravan sales place. One less Shell garage in Central Belt.
  6. On trip to Oban saw four unmarked police cars, volvos estate (white) and jaguers (silver). Doing a convoy, think they were fro mthe Strathclyde Police Training unit. Unmarked Skoda been doing the rounds, the CID locally have been unmarked vauxhalls for ages, dark blue usually. It that pesky camera van that does my trumpet!
  7. Wots the company car?
  8. Two for APS, no problems
  9. Like it, least you aint a ba ba and went blue wi gold wheels
  10. Warpage seems to be a common thread when complaining about brakes in Sti anyway, usually manifested in steering wheel judder braking from high speed. Or vibration in the rear seats from the rear discs if warped. New discs and pads are required, though make and type seem to be open to debate with common plumbing for Pagid 4.2.1 or the new 4.2.2 which is the new upgrade and some quality discs like DBA slotted discs. Though price is an issue with the above coming in at £160 set & £275 pair (Sti Brembo conversion). I have also read Godspeed quoted as good discs. Brembo discs come in at £225 pair straight replacements. Your issue seems to be more pad related, depends on type you have fitted and driving style. EBC have had a write up about being a bit soft and quick wearing, though others swear by them. Like all performence cars brake squeel has to be endured at low speed its common and depending on pad can be just noticeable to down right loud. Its a funny old game car mods. You choose by cost and what you require to meet your needs then hope you chosen correctly which can only be done when you experience them for yourself.
  11. A wee question, cant seem to find Dunc in since week before xmas. Went today as I was on my way to cumbernauld about some new toyos, two other guys were at the garage in Bonnybridge when a arrived, one said hed been up everyday and no Dunc or son or was even open. He said he had'nt been seen in the village either. So whats up, holiday or what. No signs up and he didnt say he was going on holiday last I spoke to him on 22nd Dec. So anyone got any clues?
  12. When we are at it so is the numptees who hog outside lanes an sit there its for overtaking, also daftees who cant read highway code and dont use roundabouts correctly, is it to difficult to remember that inside lane is for turning left and straight on and outside for turning right unless marked otherwise. It seems not!
  13. Marshalls builders in Alloa are looking for a Bench Joiner. It depends on the travel or your location not to mention the rate.

  18. Write to chief constable and ask if this is good practice in dealing with motorists at a time of year when keeping cars clean is difficult during a journey. He will at least go down his line of command to the constable who will have to in writing state why he took such a course of action, was no alternative available, was a garage not close or within distance to proceed and get offending plate washed. He can counter you were cheeky or narky and you gave no alternative. To counter this answer in your letter any thing he can make up to back his action, get your preemptive strike in first. A thought, I would have asked nicley if he had any wype available in his car as he must be prepared for such weather, lol
