  1. Paul, mine cleared its self after 2 or 3 hrs of driving but the fault code remained, you should be ok. Poss something to thinkabout for the yearly servicing cleaning the idle control valve Graeme
  2. Hes talking about the knocking noise coming up through the steering that cannot be fixed as they have got rid of the rubber damper in the steering to "give a more precise steering feel" and the ratteling rear window problem. The think that has got our back up is the fact that when we test drove our cars they did not know, the knocking only startet to become apparent after 300+ miles. I think if any of the cars we had test drove did this we would not have bought them!!!! I would rather have a stering columb that does not knock its pan in every time you go over a bump on a corner to one that "has more precise feeling" I have driven a few STi my05 onwards cars inc being in a spec D for the Richard Burns Relay and I only heard the knock once over the whole weekend!!! and they do not do it as much as our cars, but I have to admit since they changed the rack its not been quite as bad. Things didnt start happening untill I phoned the MD of Subaru UK (and I know its not in his work remit to listen to complaints) but I was left soo frustrated I had no other way to turn (and it took me a week of trying and getting phobbed off to get him!) Graeme
  3. Sorry but I dont have diagrams, your car will only have 2 cats, 1 in the downpipe and one in the main exhaust. I think im right in saying that it was only the newage wrx's that had 3 cats. I would take a pic of mine but unfortunately my standard exhaust is back on the car The standard cats have large bulky heatshields on them, I think most sportscats are alot smaller (on my loud exhaust I got rid of them all[6].) Spotrs cats shouldnt invalidate the warranty and if you had no cats you would still have a limited warranty (thats why im back to standard[] (far too quiet) Graeme (with a 2005 STi)

  15. The car is standard again[] not sure when I will get arround to getting it back to full blown mode My bike is taking up too much of my time recently (but for 541 I might leave it standard for a wee while, till the bank ballance recovers) Appologies to Ally-b as he does not have an early warning device for me popping round (he used to be able to hear me a couple of streets away!![]) Graeme
  16. yea Keith Michaels was going to be about a grand for me, Tesco, Virgin and Privelage are all very good, Privelage were £541 for me 26 with 6 yrs NCB and didnt bother about if a tracker was fitted!!!??? Virgin was about £580 I think but they offered 0% finance on payments Graeme
  17. Na it was on the Minna, both very similar except the size, Minna is 47m and Jura is 84m I think Will be joining the Jura on the 10th of August though Graeme
  18. Prob not the same, but after 4 and a half weeks I started mine, and it was Idleing at 1800rpm, when free wheeling up to lights etc it would hunt. Eventually the check engine light came on, when the revs dropped back to normal but was running lumpy after about an hour it went off. I was down at S and S today to get the prodrive bump stops fitted as they forgot to order them when they changed both my front struts under warranty where they told me it was just the idle control valve and not to worrybut if it happened again to "bring it in" Funy thing was that they tried to charge me 90 odd quid for the work that they did today so they were told where to go as it was them who forgot to order the new bump stops. Paul I would take it down to the dealer to get it checked, even though it could be nothing (at least it would give you peace of mind) Graeme
