I remember Shell had this problem before, thought they'd fixed it.... and as for boycotting Shell and not putting V-Power in the RA, absolutely nae chance I'd stick anything else in the tank, I'll just pay by cash oh and Al, hope you get this sorted and you dont get billed/penalised for this -
thanks David for doing this, greatly appreciated

yes its a genuine print but I'm unsure how much they will give to the charity when the auction ends, am waiting for the seller to reply to my message. i know that its up to the buyers of the prints to do what they want with it once they've got it, but seeing as Grant and I are still fundraising and havent handed the money over to the family yet, i'm a bit dubious if they will donate everything they make (less the original £40 sale price and fees/expenses) to the charity. the McRae Gathering is always about Colin and his charities and we've tried v. hard to make sure no one makes money from our event.

greenlight for me during my first year - their track day cover did it went with A-Plan for the 2nd year as they were cheaper Keith Michaels couldnt match their quotes, plus it was v. difficult getting hold of Gary Moulson and i got irritated with constantly having to call back to try and speak to the guy

burgy, meet us at the McD car park in Showcase Cinema, Coatbridge, off the M8, at 0745 and we can take a run through to Carnwath for about 0830 er why so early if we're not leaving Carnwath till 0845? and will there be 2 stints of bacon rolls, one supplied by scoobysailor at Carnwath (Cathy's bringing the rolls) as well as a session in Peebles before heading to Penicuik?
-
burgy yup we'll be leaving from Gla not sure what time, what route or what car we're taking yet. will post something up tomorrow night when we've decided what we're doing. its unlikely we'll do the run after the garage visit, we've still got a shedload of limited prints to process.

Finally The Limited Print Is Ready - Shop Is Open

actually its just "guy" (Grant) and "girls" (me and grant's mum!) doing the prints. we've got a nice little production line going, he puts them in tubes, I pack and wrap his mum takes them to the post office to post. She's even on first name terms with the tellers lol here's my set up for wrapping -
Derek, hope you can make it on sat. i'll bring Dougie's Gathering Print with me
-
if the folks attending this have ordered a McRae Gathering Limited Print then send me a goat with your order number (a four digit number from our shop) and I'll bring them with me I've got Paul555sti, BobbyC and marky.t.s set aside already.

slight off topic but wonder how long it will take you guys to realise this thread was started back in April -
PMSL, I think even he said it was special good to know the packaging has held and remained intact through the postal system oh, i've stopped doing the blue ribbon thing, its too much faffing around and it added an extra 4 mins to the wrapping-time.... which adds up when I've got another 400 odd tubes to wrap I reckon the first 50 odd orders got the special touch, that is until I ran out of ribbon lol this was the link that someone posted re picture frames

dinnae panic, we're still processing these in all the excitement of making them avail for sale we forgot to say to allow 28 days for delivery Grant and I need to securely pack each Print individually and then take batches to the Post Office to post. Their new system needs to scan each barcode and punch in the postcode for each item and takes ages to administer. The packing process has started and the first batch was posted yesterday. We will also update your order status in the shop and send you an email notification that your print has been shipped and to look out for it arriving next day before 1pm. thanks for your patience, we are working on this when we come in after our day jobs, and are spending our nights and weekends to get these out to you. cheers, Imy

I've pulled bits out from the full BBC report here Motor racing legend Colin McRae has been inducted into the Scottish Sports Hall of Fame. Former World Rally champion McRae, who died in a helicopter crash alongside his young son last September, is one of four new inductees. .... McRae, the son of five-times British rally champion Jimmy, wrote his name in the record books in 1995 when he became the first Briton to win the World Rally Championship. ... [Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon] "Their induction into the Scottish Sports Hall of Fame will help ensure that their legacy continues to inspire for generations to come." Accepting the award on behalf of McRae was his wife, Alison, and father Jim. Alison said: "Colin would have been honoured and privileged to become a member of the Scottish Sports Hall of Fame and take his place alongside the greats of Scottish sporting history." ...

hi guys happy to see that you are all still hyper from the event i'd allow 28 days to ship. grant and i need to manually pack and parcel each print, take a batch to the post office, wait in a slow queue to get them all put through their Special Delivery service, which involves waiting for them to scan each item and punch in the postcode of-each-item before they do the next one i've cancelled all my plans for the next 2 weeks (weekends and weeknights) so we can get the production line started again (and thought I was done after dishing out all those Gathering registration stickers lol) and the prints out to everyone. thanks again, imy -
good pics Shaun forgot that you sampled the delights of the OSIDC establishment

Thanks zeolite i'm not wanting any thanks or praise or sympathy, I just need some patience and understanding that the things that we do are thought through and discussed and that there are reasons for everything. we are trying to juggle our day jobs as well as responding to all the [daft] questions and are doing the best we can. I even fielded an email that asked why there was not a contact phone number for us if customers are experiencing problems with the shop (err because this is voluntary pal and we are not a business)
