  3. Hmmm from £4.5K i can think of better ways to invest that kind of money at the moment. Wuz told me some details on using the JDM 6-Speed just trying to get the full low down on whats all needed and costs.
  4. Wouldnt say no but i've heard the cost are very high.
  5. Evening peeps. Well the old short ratio gearbox on my Type-RA is starting to drive me nuts. Having quite a few crunch moments especially when cold. I think synchros are worn. Also when backing off the throttle the gearbox is making a wee whining noise in any gear. Options: 1. Get the gearbox out and rebuild it. If so any recommendations and anyone got any ideas on a rough cost? 2. Thinking about a 6-Speed. Who would be the best person to ask about doing this? Rough cost? Cheers Ian
  6. Very nice indeedly [] Not moaning or nothing but will there be additional features still to come online?
  7. Afternoon people. First off, well done to the techies and all involved in moving the forums over very swift and nice job. Just a quick question about storing my car. I'm changing jobs and will now only be using the Scooby and a pure weekend car once in a while so it wont be moving around much. Basically after some advice and what the best way to store it or things that should be done to it to keep it fresh and happy. I'm hoping to get a garage to put it into and was also wondering if anyone knew where i could buy a car cover for it. Any advice or info would be greatly appreciatted. Cheers [] Ian

  12. i had a similar problem on my classis it turned out it was the Throttle Control Sensor, i noticed that if i let the engine to the breaking then sometimes my Check Engine light popped on for a second and when the code was checked it flagged this error. Obviously you havent seen the Engine Light but might be a consideration.

  20. The actual OMS chip is just the same from V1-V14 the only additional requirement for the V12+ is the diode fix which i have too.
  21. I have an extensive collection of rather "artistic" shots of the little fella's Dougster: Yes the OMS is the same system, it will allow you to play "Backup" games and watch dvd's from any region and loads of other features. Included is both the OMS chip and the voltage regulator for the laser that is required on the new slimline models.
