Hey guys, Was playing around the other night and came up with a wee idea. People keep going on about quarter mile times at Crail and lap times around Knockhill. Crail has its timing gear but due to the legal reasons at Knockhill we cant get the same setup for Knockhill Lap times on trackdays. So i was toying on the idea why we dont "unofficially" time the laps. We could have authorised people who are allowed to record the times to keep things fair. I've setup a wee website where we can list the times and some other bits and pieces. Also since the times would timed by official people the participating driver could then be given a wee sticker as momento with their run time and wee little braging right [] I've knocked up a wee example. So what do you think? People interested? Let me know. Cheers Ian

God its good to feel my toes again!! Too excited this morning to stop and think that it would be friggin cold at Knockhill! A huge thanks to Bandit for giving me a lift this morning, glad all went well on track for you bud, keep on practising. Also a big thanks to John and the Knockhill staff for a spot on morning of fun, very professional and efficient setup. And to top off my first time on track a really big thanks to Graham, Steve and Scott for some quality track action. Hope i can repay the favour soon. Nice to meet up and put some more faces to names.

Ah grand night out as i keep getting digged was good to get out my flat!! Big thanks has to go to Martin for piloting and his route planning Molly and Jacob were sound folk aswell, nice to meet up with you guys, hope you have a safe trip on the rest of your journey, remember us poor folks stuck at work! And of course was great to meet up with some SIDC folks, though a big cheers has to goto Squirrel for giving Molly and Jacob one hell of an entertaining night! With renditions of Donald wheres ya troosers it had everyone questioning if Squirrel was also filling himself up with Optimax and not just his car!!! Keep up the quality work Managed to get a few picks but seeing as it was 10 oclock at night and lit with crap street lights they arent the best!

Classic 97 STi Type-RA V3 My current gearbox rattles more than a Mr.T out jogging. Thinking about maybe a 6 speed but as i dont use the car much and dont have much money i havent done much about it yet. Hopefully pull my finger out this year and get my battle plan sorted.

It is possible to use the include call to bring in the page as a string then search through that string looking for a certain reference in your stuff.php page the grab just that and define it to certain variables saving you having to load the whole php page into your index page

Hey cheers for the replies guys really appreciatte it. On regards to the sump my mechanic said that the STi sumps are baffled to an extent is this true? or is there an upgrade over the STi one? If i`m going to be using the car for track days what kind of oil pump/sump/cooling setup should i be thinking about? I think what he meant about strengthing was to weld a plate to the sump then tap the sensor into that and not the sump plug. Cheers Ian

Evning Guys. Couple of questions [] My current spec of car. 97 STi Type-RA. Full Hayward & Scott Turbo back (fully decatted), Green cotton panel filter, VF28 turbo, rest of engine standard STi spec. Been advised that i should upgraded my fuel pump to stop any potential problems, i`m looking at getting an Apexi later this year. Now all the talk seems to be for the Walbro 255 fuel pump but should i also upgrade the regulator to something like the FSE Regulator at the same time? Just wondering what others have done? I`m hoping to take the car upto about 350hp in the near future so would like to make upgrades future proof. Also i`m getting my Oil pressure and temp guage fitted, where is the most common place for the temp probe to be fitted? my mechanic prefers putting it in the sump, is this commom? also to make the job easier he wants me to get another sump so he can strengthen the location for the sensor, is there any upgrades over the STi one? or what kind of price does an STi sump go for? Any input would be greatly appreciatted. Cheers Ian

Well looks like i'm gonna phone Greersport. If anyone else has any suggestions or comments i'd really appreciatte hearing them, i dont want to waste £1000. As a matter of interest if i was looking for a setup whereby i would like to build a gearbox that is strong for trackdays and capable of around 400bhp what would your suggestions be? Thanks alot Ian

Margarine if you are even tighter!

Anyone know of any garages in the lower half of scotland that do the 6-speed conversion? Got some more questions too. [] Diff's whats up with all the 4.44 etc what does it mean what are the differences? If i was to put in a JDM 6 speed to match my Type-RA rear diff what else would need replaced? Also what kind of increase in top speed would i expect and is the gearing similar through 1-5 to my Close Ratio one? Sorry for all the questions i just trying to get to grips with it all and figure out whats the best way to spend my hard earned cash [] P.S Gordy i havent forgotten about that money, i'll give you a buzz soon and arrange to drop by.
