  1. Thanks. Its getting more and more dirty (commuter car ) but hey. Even when its a bit dirty, impreza's still tend to look cool Aye. I had my last car for 3 years, and that started out with a leaking oil pressure valve Just seems my luck with "new" cars isn't all that great.
  2. Haha. Hawk looks as good in silver as in black! (Yours is a bit quicker, mind!) Might look at one of those plates tbh. Mine needs replacing due to water getting in.... and it'd look good!
  3. Lol. Atm, the plan is to keep it on the black stuff and under the speed limit! Once i'm used to it and getting bored, i'll probably put a few touches on it. First being the sound. The double din is crying.out for a 7" screen i think. Theres ones on ebay running android (so i could connect to the obd2 adapter i have via bluetooth and torque and have the readouts displayed on the hu), which is pretty cool. And a subtle sub in the boot of course. Other than that, i've no idea. I hope some do come along and suggest! I come from the VAG scene, so dub, euro, oem+, i'm familiar with. What goes on in this circuit, though, is completely new to me.
  4. Ta guys. @Muffin. The wheels aren't as nice as they look. They were buckled, so went up to brum to pick up some stock ones I found on Scoobynet. And one of those tyres deflated on me on the way to work So not a great start to my Impreza ownership, unfortunately. But the car is amazing, the time its had usable tyres on.
  5. Lol. Been having a load of wheel problems. Got this couple with my phone though Excuse...everything. Lol
  6. Yeah, well. They say its safer to be cheeky (I don't know who they are, but I heard it through the grapevine). It will have changed quite a bit then, especially with the "children" (i use that term loosely) who hang around up there.
  7. Haha, well I'm chasing down your record at 17 years How long ago did you leave? place has likely gone downhill since you left. (ie: Was Woolworths still there when you left? )
  8. Unlikely to be a user on here then. Or if they are, it'll be unlikely to be claimed as such. In other news, Hi ^_^ I'm in South East London, well, Bexleyheath way, more kent than london, but I'm in the M25, so meh! Got a black Hawkeye 2.0 non-turbo >_< Damn insurance.
  9. Legend @Biscuit: As am I, but I'm not new to the whole modding scene, my old car was a low, slow, OEM+ Seat Ibiza. The impreza's quite a step up, literally. But if you just want to see what the cars doing, and have a nose for tech, Torque, or an equivalent app, is perfect. Plug 'n' go, and if you get a cradle that looks onto the road, it can record your journey, and overlay any sensors you want to (I'd highly recommend looking at the MAF reading if you do, multiply the number you get by 0.8 and it'll give you an estimate of your BHP ) My old one didn't have one, but I'll be running logs on this one, even if it is only a baby in the Subaru world
  10. Need to be registered how abouts links to the pics?
  11. Funnily enough, I had one of the 10 pound jobbies off ebay. Had it about 6 months, its done all I've needed, and provided some amusement too. Worked perfectly first time out with my Sony Ericsson Android, and a free version of Torque. I've been told I was lucky to get a 'good' one, but for the money, I'd be willing to spend the time sending it back till one worked Note: These are generic readers. Don't expect anything specialized, it'll bring up 'universal' fault codes, clear them, and run logs on the compatible sensors and show them on screen in real time. Cool, but if you're into your mapping etc, you need proper software.
  12. Typical scot. Seb Loeb hugs his co-driver and they hold hands when they win. Colin? "What dya think I am, a woman?" Congrats on the 555. hopefully many more to come from ye
  13. Lol, cheers for the welcome. @stu: aye, that'll be a hawkeye. By far my favourite of the 2nd gen chassis, and the 160 has such a beautiful pull to it, even without a turbo Thanks meat, same to you. Kenny. I'll get pics up once i've cleaned the mud off (i found a deserted muddy car park in my travels and just couldnt help myself! ). The paintwork is peefect though, theres no other word for it. So chuffed to be in my own impreza
  14. Why would you get grief from your mates for sticking it in the passenger seat? What are the dimensions? In the boot or the engine bay (if you could find a space!) would be a tidy spot. otherwise, unless its massive, its your car, if your mates don't want to ride, they can get the bus
  15. Hey guys (and girls!) Hope the winter isn't being to cold/wet for you all. Just (well, I say just, more like 2 days ago) got back from Leeds with my first impreza. Its a black 2.0 Sport R. For those unaccustomed to the non-turbo models, 160bhp, 130-something lb/ft and 0-60 alleged 10 seconds or something. I'm sure that can be beaten So anyway, its only a little baby compared to some of the big boys, but she's mine, and I'll be sure to look after her and (hopefully) not spoil the fabulous looks.
