  1. No worries Willie and thanks. [H] Stephen, i'd consider your car to be perfectly fine running in the state of tune it is at the moment. I'd be very surprised if it wasn't.....and if it wasn't fine, then it's prolly down to something not right with the car, rather than the mods fitted.
  2. Lol, no worries. Good luck with the house sale indeed. I'm sticking mine up for sale in about a month, so here's hoping it works out for all of us! [] As for the induction kit and adjusting diameter on the PFC, i'm not sure mate. I'd wait till you have all the mods you want on it and fit them all just before mapping. That way, your not having to stop yourself hammering it, incase it pops.

Personally, i would get an Apexi induction kit and throw the panel filter away, purely as it can do no wrong when it comes to getting mapped, whereas with the panel filter, it may well be restrictive and you don't wanna hear Andy saying that, when you could have changed them before the session. [] Depends a bit on what turbo etc, if your going above 350hp, but i would think from what you've said, the Apexi filter should be fine.

  5. I was under the impression, the first wagons got a TD04 Mark. Dunno why they fitted them to them...summit to do with towing and more weight, but i could be wrong. You know how hard it is to find somewhere that tells the facts. [] How's you anyway? Long time, no hear!
  6. Nah, unfortunately not. Wagons got the TD04...God knows why. [*-)] Now that i've re-read the thread title...i'm not so sure you've even got a TD turbo, as it's an STi you have. Could very well be a VF, though i'm not sure which one. I tend to like to abuse the TD series more. []

  10. I'd have thought, it should still be able to rev past 3k revs though and Pete's already said, he's changed the leads.
  11. Remember, he's said it's on start-up. If it were leaking, i'd expect the smell to be there all the time.
  12. Sounds like the car is going into limp mode. You'll need to get it hooked up, via select monitor, to have an idea of what's going on, i'm afraid.
  13. Just the engine firing in enough fuel into the engine, to get it going AFAIK. It's simply having to burn off more than when it's running.
  14. Indeed, they all do it and not to worry about it. If you ARE concerned, have it checked out....there's no harm in it.

  16. P1 are supposed to be different, from their STi brothers. Same as WRX's are harder than UK turbo's etc. At the moment, there's a guy selling a secondhand set on SNET. £500 IIRC. Or you could consider the KYB group buy on there too. They are adjustable, but not like coilovers. Better movement, yet still got a stiffness, that wouldn't be far off original P1 stuff.
  17. Get an air/fuel ratio meter fitted and a knocklink too and use octane booster, till you gt it mapped, or if you find it's fuelling fine and not detting, you may get away without a remap.....it is possible.
