will keep you in mind now as know its needing the boost up a bit. was also told it runs lean high up so think injectors would be next safe bet before remap. just wondering if i can bolt on yor 2 bar map sensor to see what would happen....... as long as there is no melt down or bang i would be happy lol

i open up my ecu and see it has been tweeked inside. there is a diod been cut and there seems to be aadditional chip in the corner. wallace told me they could not chip it, but looking into it more think its a case that THEY cant chip it. so not surew. might go down the injector route next but i will need a decent ecu to map with first. but am happy as it is untill i can get the 500 odd quid saved to get a decent ecu and re map. and might take you up on that phil. would it be a bolt straight on item or fitted when re mapped as mine ir currently 0.8 bar

would like to get to around the 350 mark . last run at wallace was 300 as it is now but was running lean and since put in the walbro. i know a re mapp would do it the world of good but cant justify 400 odd quid at the mo, even more so now im in the middle of fixing the gearbox. if it is a 16 then is the 20 better?

so far.... fmic. tdo5 ( tho not sure if its a 16 or 20 g ), walbro255, 3in stainless decat full system with 4 branch stainless headers and itg induction kit and 0.8 bar boost. tho thinking of some sort of decent remappable ecu next

mmmm intresting. unless it has been tinkerd with as definatly runs fuel . i do know there is a differnt ecu in mine but not one that wallace could map. will have to have a closer look me think . cheers folks. on the turbo front might leave it for a while then and maybe go for a vf 35 as bryan d is running that in his and with simmular mods to mine he is pusshing 340 brake

fifth inj in mine spurts extra in. gives it extra punch . the only reason i know this is had a leak on the feed pipe and disconected it for a while and definatly down on power untill i got fixed

on the subject of turbos , i have a tdo5, whats is my next upgrade option? as its the ra its a snorkel turbo and dont want to fit a front inlet one for two reasons, 1, i dont want o lose the ra manifold as it has the fifth injector and dont think there is room for inlet to go under it and ,2, i personally think the snorkel one works and spins better as the air is curved thru not having to change direction like the front entry that the air sudenly has to turn almost 90 degress to exit

i will speak to bryan d too as think he would be up for this and ive just found out another friend of mine has bought a sti type r v6 on a w plate and it is mint. absolute gorgeous car and telling him to get to some meets as it would be well liked i think. its a stunner. jdm . he bought it up from the south coast a few months back.

if your sure the noise is from the back and the pump i would say that its maybe early warning of pump wear or failure

they wont be the same as a classic ra would they as just took mine off for a pair of 4 pots
