  1. Everyones leaving! Do you lot know something we dont? lol Sorry to see you both go.
  2. Evening dudes.
  3. Very nice indeed.[] Formula Fast Fit, AFAIK they are the only garage on island with digital/laser kit. Does cost about £80 but you know its right when finished. They did mine and you get a full print out before and after changes. They should also add some neg camber in for you which will help on corners, but to make the best of it fit these http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m10b0s188p512.
  4. If you're not pushing out more than 300bhp then I would have thought the standard will be fine.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I wouldn’t do the exedy if looking to sell. £700! to much. The price of both clutches is about right. As said before fitting should be no more than £150-£200, but that is based on UK prices.
  5. If am not mistaken, is the pic top right of the forum not courtesy of Mr Cawte whilst coming down the Creg in his old classic? Erm dudes?
  6. Scum bags. [:@]
  7. You have to drop the gearbox so not a easy/quick job on a scoob, most place's charge about £150. If you're after a clutch to try http://www.apiengines.com, I got my exedy from them through a scoobynet groupby and at a good price.
  8. I was going to say what about back pressure when partially closed in respect of the ecu map, but if it adjusts with rpm I assume closed round town under 3/4k then open out of town on boost over 3/4k.[] very nice Jim.
  9. I think main prob is all the new toys, they should have kept it simple.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Have you seen all the multi coloured posts in general. [^o)] Mind novelty should wear off soon.
  10. Fuel pump replacement Remove rear seat; Remove sound deadening; Then remove brace bar, only on Type R/Ra's AFAIK as this is classed as the solid rear bulkhead. Also remove rear board; I then disconnected the battery, as we don’t want any sparks with fuel all over the place. Next remove the four screw's holding the access plate; Then proceed to remove the fuel lines one at a time, this can get messy so have plenty of cloth ready to catch the fuel. Also leave the car for about 2 hours after driving before doing this to allow the pressure in the system to subside, don't make a big difference but helps with excess fuel. Remove all the retaining nuts on the tank access plate. Then to remove the pump assembly you have to lift and twist it out, you also have to pull the float up before it will come out. As can be seen the old filter sock is full of contaminants from years of use. Just to add I replaced the OEM fuel pump over a year ago and the general consensus on most forums was to keep the OEM filter sock as the one with the old kit was to small; However the new kit comes with a filter sock the same size as OEM ; Next follow fitting instructions included in kit; I added a zip tie on the body of the pump to stop it moving as an extra precaution; Then reverse the removal procedure, when all connected up don’t start the car straight away, turn the ignition on 2 or 3 times to allow fuel pressure to build in the system again and get rid of any air locks.
  11. doh[:$], I didn't think to ask. I'm sure it will be 4wd, and even if it’s not initially all they have to do is buy 2 extra units to make it 4wd.
  12. No not yet, I have access to a lift so may be doing it soon or I may get Paul to do it when next in for a service.
  13. Mornin dudes![8-|] Lol, new one in but to be honest I dont think it was the problem.[8o|] Wideband next purchase I think. Bloody cars hey. lol
  14. Mornin dudes![8-|] Lol, new one in but to be honest I dont think it was the problem.[8o|] Wideband next purchase I think. Bloody cars hey. lol
  15. Morning dudes. Unexpected day off today, had to cancel the service with Paul yesterday as the car died . Just waiting for the post now, hoping a new fuel pump will arrive! Which I hope is the reason for the car running lean/cutting out.
  16. Cool, I take it the bung has fallen out now then? Was it the usual trackday test? i.e. 1metre from exhuast at 45degree then rev to 4k.
  17. Nice, 18" fill the archs well. You may want to get you geometry checked over to, mine needed tweeking when going from 17" to 18".
  18. Evening dudes. Had a play with the new extension!! today. Well that's what the old dear called it. lol 20D-1 20D-2 Test-1 Test-2 Test-3 Test-4 And a scenery shot! Test-5
  19. Ba$tards, we'll be getting nicked for farting to loud soon! But I have to admit the Blitz can be bloody loud with the bung out on a classic. But this can also vary from car to car as Nick & I proved just before I sold it. I got mine after listening to Grants on his bugeye, so its all your fault. lol
  20. Very nice, I assume you are getting a set with a higher offset? as 42mm is a tad low from subarus offsets 50mm-55mm. I just got away with 45mm after rolling the rear arch's, but then mine are 8" not 7.5" which should help you.
  21. Went down this afternoon to book the car in for a service, very nice setup. Dyno room was still being painted, mid march for the gear to go in.
  22. << This is true Dave , You got a good deal there M8.... Did it come with a lens kit and Flash-card Dave ???? My new Flash-card came today..... I will have a play with it tomorrow.... >> Yep lens kit, 1GB SanDisk Ultra II & USB card reader. Arrived today, and I have to say its my best e-bay bargain yet, most of it was still sealed and the camera looks unused not a mark on it.
  23. << Well the garage are doing a good job in pi$$ing me off at the moment. "Well we think it is the head gasket but we have not had a look", Why not?, "Well we got a lot of cars in at the start of the week", but my car has been in for 10 days now, "Well we should be able to look at it by the end of the week". Suppose I will have to give garage owner a call tonight and tell him to give his service dept a kick up the ar$e. >> Mmmm not good, hope they get it sorted for you soon Andy.
  24. Went down last Sat to sort out a service and he had just finished loading the last truckload, so this week is his first in new premises. Was told it is a rototest dyno don?t know if 2wd or 4wd, but would imagine it would be 4wd due to most cars through there being imprezas and evo's. I agree with you re the cost.
  25. At the mo I would be happy if the car ran right as it is, still got ecu issues. I tried the demo for that but couldn?t get good figures as it has not got a file for an Impreza gems only evo gems. I ended up with 450 odd bhp! I wish. But from what I've seen on 22B the boys have got very accurate figures via apexi/datalogit. That's the same reason I want some form of dyno graph so you can track the changes you make. Saying that Mr Dangerfield has just moved into his spanking new premises and is due a dyno install, rotormax so I have been told.
