  1. an den?
  2. Government Press Release Itchy fingers next week for me.
  3. Lol, the whole island is being upgraded to 2Mb. See here and the cost is coming down to from £75 to £65. I've got to wait till the 21st though.
  4. << Edit to add a couple of pics at Clicky >> As Mr Moyles & Dave would say, Niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeee wheels. Erm, dude.
  5. << Dave dude, keep away from big toothed women LOL >> Erm, dont know what you mean dude! Sorry to hear the scoob has to go mate.........but not to worry I'll come round and rev the knackers off mine at 3 in the morning for ya. Just so you dont miss the sound.
  6. Lol, I have thought about it. But being a Tart I want the best of both worlds, factory fit unit for Radio/CD/MD + PC for MP3 and other toys. Just can't find a factory head unit with touch screen that you can link the touch part of the screen to a pc. Could'nt be doing with pulling a keyboard with track ball out each time. But there may be a new head unit going in soon.
  7. << just had a price from grade A subaru parts for shocks. £150 + vat each, original, brand new and complete. better than £220 + vat. >> It dont look like the Island's new dealer is going to be much use to anyone then.
  8. Richard Margy Graeme Helen James John Nix Graihagh Andy Dave Richard Val Gerry Dave +1 maybe Poss an other Dave!
  9. And so your journey down the slippery slope of car modding begins, lol. As said above deff do a decat especially the down pipe that makes the biggest difference. A little over budget but try WRC Tech and the 280bhp package. Sure they will do you a deal without the induction kit as you already have K&N. And no need for aftermarket ecu, ecutek is included in the price, which is just a remap of the existing ecu. Also the system they supply is not to loud on long journeys etc. Welcome to the forum.
  10. Afternoon dudes, glad that week is over. See some of you tomorrow if am in a fit state, out on the town tonight.
  11. << I think just the top bit dude as that's presumably the bit that will cause the error if it's at fault. Cheers mate! >> I still have your axle stands to Jim, I will bring them to work tomorrow, if I remember. You dudes passed the wall yet?
  12. As far as I know it's still a go. But after the weather today dont think it will be ice creams after.
  13. That may be right as you have the Sti. Try BuyPartsBy £108.26 + vat for a pair. You will have to check though as these dont say if they fit the Sti.
  14. << Welcome dangerus to the forums. I had a jap imported toyota corolla levin (as did Dave K) and never had any problems with it . Any parts I needed were got for me by my mate in a garage in balthane with little or no problems getting them. Apart from our scooby's the levin has been the most reliable car I have had and I had it for about 4 years. Hope to meet you at the next meet if you can make it . >> Lol the Levin, and have to add this was a very rare car outside of Japan, I only knew of 5 in the UK including these 2!. So most garages didn't have a clue but still got parts after looking, as I had to find a new engine after I blew mine. Bouncing off the 9500rpm rev limit was not good on a 150k engine, whilst stationary!!! main bearings went. Welcome to the forum fella.
  15. << One thing worth mentioning though is that imports are mapped for 100ron fuel octane and the best we have here is 97 to my knowledge, which means to be on the safe side either getting it remapped or adding octane boost to the fuel. Some people don't add octane boost and I believe have had no problems (Dave?) but it is potentially risky to do so. Fitting a knocklink device gives peace of mind too. >> This is true I did run it without OB for 2 years till I fitted the Gems, however I fitted said Knocklink and various other gauges so I could monitor the car. I'm sure they saved the engine from going bang as I could back off when problems started.
  16. Dave K

    Sad Day

    My condolences to his family.
  17. << Any chance of borrowing that IACV solenoid still Dave? >> No prob's Jim dude, do you want the whole thing or just the top off it?
  18. No an den. lol
  19. << Have you checked for mayonaise in the oil cap/bubbling in the coolant tank etc? >> Just to add bubbling is not always head gasket. I had it a few times after being away when the car had been idle for a while, air locks etc.
  20. << Hope the car wasn't sliding around in the car deck Richard! Thanks for picking up the exhaust part for me Andy - nice to meet you as well mate. Just have to suss out which way round it goes now, and where is the best spot to position it!!! Anyone got any ideas from this shoddy diagram I did of it?! Shoddy DB Insert diagram I did >> Thick end to the back of the car Jim, it's the same as the bung on me old Blitz NUR. You may even get away with putting it in the backbox so you can remove when you want, depending on how it would fit.
  21. Lol, sore head for you this morning then dude? Any body going up to Jurby today? I'm going for look, think it's the last track day this year.
  22. << Damn right Jimmy - this has been the week from hell! >> No need to ask what you'll be doing tonight then..............................would that be 1 keg or 2 sir.
  23. I very much doubt it as well. You could try Eurocars motorsport section. Chances are they would have to order it anyway as most stock will be for saxo's,106's etc.
  24. << Dave, am i right in thinking mine and your car have different MAF sensors ? as i noticed you had an induction kit on your car on saturday and everyone under the sun on scoobynet is warning me about putting one on mine because of the MAF getting damaged ? you had any problems ? >> Yes they do have different MAF Sensors, as Nick said they changed the design after 96 and then again after 97-98 (V4), unfortunately for you the 99-00 (V5-V6) is the most prone to vibration etc. And as Jim said oiled filters are a no go like ITG etc. I'm running a Gems ECU which does not need a MAF as it works off inlet temp, but also I have to run an induction filter due to the FMIC pipe work. If your not going FMIC I would fit say a Green panel filter, test's have shown no difference in performance between panel and induction kits, only diff will be noise for obvious reasons. At the end of the day its pot luck, some people fit them and never have a prob; some people I have heard don?t make 10miles before it goes bang.
  25. PMSL, like it Nick. Will add some more soon, if i can find any pics of cars.
