Just seen the OMA scooby in Peel. Think he was the quickest car last year, so at least one scoob is running this weekend.
-
Mornin dudes, bloody car misfiring on the way into work this morning. I plan to go up on Sat for about 11 as they are giving rain for the afternoon, then sunday some time depending on weather. There is a Manx v's UK challenge apparently, even with a trophy! The head to head finals will be held on sunday afternoon, which should be a laugh.

<< What fuel pressure are you running then Dave? You haven't got an FSE regulator like mine have you mate? Fiddled a touch with my SAFC today but only very minor adjustments so far.... >> 2.8 bar at atmo on idle with SX reg, standard pressure for 440's apparently. Sweeeeeeet, did you notice any difference? Smoother delivery etc?

<< Excellent news Dave Dude Debbie says I'm not aloud anywhere near your motor when were on the rock, cost too much last time Paul >> Lol, best not lift the bonnet this vist then, you'll be blinded by the bling. Ps. All parts can be found on this website.......

<< I just fell off my f*cking chair! >> Pmsl, I had to introduce the accelerator pedal to the carpet a few weeks ago for the first time. They now meet on a daily basis. Just cant do bumpy roads at mo. Grinders coming out I think.
-
<< So that means don't drive over 2.5K revs!! Lol >> Lol, not anymore, scream it up to 6.5/7.5k now with the wastegate fluttering away from 5k. Just need to sort the archs and am happy.
-
So who's going to Straightliners @ Jurby this weekend? Just seen that the 1200bhp Top Secret R33 Skyline will be over for this, which runs the 1/4 Mile in the 10's. Seen this at Elvington airfield York, very fast. Also 8 skyline's from GTR club are booked in @ the hotel, so should be a good weekend if the weather holds. Sat & Sun 10am - 5pm.

Mornin dudes. Have a good hol Jimmy, dont do anything I would'nt! That dont leave much then does it. lol
-
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet All mapped up and it sounds like scooby again with OEM headers back on. And we even managed time for a pint, bought by Mr Simpson.
-
Doh, need a cold day dudes for mapping. Took the headers off last night and put OEM back on.
-
No prob Andi, off tomorrow then Jurby all weekend but should be free after that. Doh, think I've fixed me idle issue, put some of the extra earthing straps I had on the car back on yesterday and car is driving way better. Gems must have a more sensitive system than stock ECU, typical. Lol at Neil, they be 22" and razor sharp to chop any thief?s fingers off that get to close.
-
Lol, car went fine over there. Ran through 3,4,5 upto 6.5k each time so smooth and no det. Now its detting. Yes mapped for UK fuel, however Steve said the fuel that I had in at the time was crap! And hence the loss of 5bhp. So have switched brand and hope it goes better this time. 314.7 is a conservative map, but 330lbft is high for the torque. Am sure upping the fuel pressure, 340-350 could be had but then you start down the blown gearbox road, which I dont want. Wont know figures till it gets rolling roaded again.
-
Am sure the ecu issue will be sorted tomorrow, only prob now is need to get the archs sorted. With thte 225's and lowering it am getting contact so need to grind arch lip off at rear! Had the geometry done on sat with 1 degree negative camber all round which should help a bit.
-
Lol, I like you thinking Jimmy but unfortunately no booze or birds. But if there were you would be more than welcome. Bit of both it swings in roundabouts, revs its knackers off when cold and stalls when warm plus it?s like having cruise control the revs hold at 2.5k after lift off then drop after 10-15 secs or braking! An ECU issue am sure.
-
<< Oh my god, it's alive! Dave dude where you been? >> Car probs Jimmy, developed an idle issue after getting back from UK. So been swapping and cleaning allsorts to fix it, but no luck. So last weekend I stuck the old ECU back in to do a diagnostic, which gave no errors. So I rewired it, and took it for a run, no idle prob. Hence mapping session tomorrow with Mr Simpson.
-
Mornin dudes Mapping session tomorrow!
-
<< Morning all dudes! I'm back on the rock now >> Arrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggghhhh. Thats me on the run again with me keys dudes. pmsl

12 Miles from Heysham in Warton, Carnforth.

Few pics from my trip to TEG Sport. TEG 1 TEG 2 TEG 3 TEG 4 They were still painting the purpose built dyno shed when I arrived! TEG 5 Mr Simpson strapping it down. TEG 6 All wired up. TEG 7 And all ready to go. TEG 8 And the results. Dyno 1 Figures are down 5bhp due to crap Manx fuel, Steve had to retard the map as it started detting. Dyno 2

<< Good lad! We'll have to have an inspection of the car soon mate. >> Lol, you'll hear it before you see it. Funny thing, it started popping and banging when I went down Victoria Street today!
-
Mornin Dudes. Only just Andi, lol. Got back last night dropped the car off and straight out on the lash.
-
Jim dude is that the same prob we had when you did the TD05? The bottom of pipe did'nt go on right. Well it's running, had to abandon the water spray due to time, but should be able to fit it then re map later. Finished! Took it for a short run and the chatter it makes is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet., I can see lots of fuel being wasted. lol Just got to get to the boat tomorrow and am sorted.
-
Mornin dudes. Gave the block a quick degrease. Fitted headers back on with H&S slip jointed uppipe and then the turbo went back on. And then it went pear shaped. Could'nt get the inlet pipe to fit, almost refitted OEM inlet. But came up with a plan, just hope it works. Manifold back on. Manifold 2 The problematic inlet pipe
-
Lol @ Paul. Great news.
-
Picked up the heat shield1 this morning heat shield2. But then found a few alterations where required. Soaked the turbo bolts last night with WD40, did the trick as the hairdryer came off no prob. The OEM uppipe came off as well, showing the oily results of the weeping rocker covers that will be sorted at TEG. Downpipe had to come off to; again good soaking in WD40 saved a lot of hassle. Next the inlet came off. Found a split in the inlet pipe, which explains my lumpy idle of late due to leaking air. Block ready for a degreasing session tomorrow. Got to make it shiny aint I. The old inlet. I was shocked at the amount of blow by oil in he manifold. more But the catch can has eliminated that now.
