  10. Scott 1 - Who do you use for servicing or repairs to your car, the local main dealer/Specialist/Independent/National chain? For the last five years I've always used a Main Dealer to service my UK Subaru, untill recently as I now have a Subaru Import, it's a still a Subaru!!! The Dealer was slightly farther away and dearer than my Local Subaru Dealer but customer service was far superior.IMHO They also gave SIDC discount, Prodrive Tours and Prodrive Trackdays, WRC Rallies etc.etc. Subaru "Enthusiasts" 2 - Why do you use who you use? A Dealer servicing an "Import" [N] This Policy has made UK Dealers prejudice towards Imported Subaru's and is still prevellant in UK Dealerships today. Try getting Parts or putting a "Grey Subaru" in PX for a "UK Subaru" unfortunately this has come back to haunt them. Not only are they losing Sales to the growing Import market but the "Grey repair" specialists have also grown out of that "Import Stigma" designed to stem the tide. Independants tend to be far more competitive and are normally "Enthusiasts" IMHO I now use a local knowledgable independant also with realistic hourly rates. 3 - What would a competitor have to offer to make you change? Try and repair some of the wounds created over the past 10 years. Be more competitive. Be Enthusiasts. 4 - How would you rate these in order of importance a) Price - Knowledge - c) experience - d) Clear pricing - e) explanation of work done - f) use of genuine parts. C, B, A, E, D, F Tony

  14. Just got the SIDC info Pack and the Static at Brands is 95dBa and driveby is 105dBa IIRC Tony
  15. << I'm looking to go on my first track day but wondering if my car would pass the noise limit of not. I want to go on Brands hatch and I believe they have a limit of 105dB. >> 105dB is VERY loud really and would imagine it should pass (but no guarantee) Most circuits run far lower db limits, we static tested some "loud" exhausts and got readings 96-105 dB which would have failed at Bedford but passed at Brands. Tony Hoping mine will pass
  16. I was lucky enough to meet chris quite a few times at meets and Trackdays he was just a VERY nice guy and will be sadly missed My thoughts go out to his Family and friends Tony
  17. << hard to see where they have spent $20,000 on it >> That's $20,000 quoted on Ebay so only $5,000 really The shogun light bar is something else Tony
  18. Jimmy, You may be already close to the most mods possible without Remaping Sometimes you may just be adding noise and no performance. Boost spikes and lean engines are the two biggest killer of engines. Borrow a AP performance meter and try before and after Mods. My mate put an Induction kit on and lost 5 sec's a lap at Donington. An exhaust and Induction Kit seemed to take it over the top ECU retading timing, thus power becuase of overboost (IIRC) I would vote for Panel filter Buy knocklink it's far more use than a boost gauge IMHO will give warnings of Bad fuel possible inpending doom IMHO Tony
  19. LOL Phils 51st Birthday At least there is nothing to give the answer away in the SIDC shop perhaps there should Tony
