  1. question is why torch your own car if its no insurance??????????

be better selling/scrapping/breaking it for spares....that way you get something back.. you sure it was his car???(insurance job gone wrong perhaps)

either way its ****in out of order i've lost 2 cars due to similar **** and its not amusing, me personally i would kick him around for it not only for doing it but for what he's put your family through because of his stupidity....

at least none of your cars were damaged mate

  2. used to use autoglyms stuff in the past......

tbh at the moment i haven't got loads of time available when it comes to cleaning the car/but at the same time i'm a clean freak when it comes to my cars so the autosmart stuff in my opinion gives good overall results while at the same time is quick and easy to use....

  3. going by this wiring diagram http://www.cartek.biz/tech-info.html

The Isolator unit should be mounted close to the vehicle's battery and directly onto the vehicle's metal chassis/body using un-painted bolts. As the power from the vehicle's battery is conducted to chassis/earth via the base plate of the Isolator then care and attention should be taken when mounting. If the Isolator can not be mounted directly to the main chassis then a suitable earth cable will need to be connected between the Isolator mounting plate and the vehicle’s chassis or engine. Also, do not fit the Isolator close to any heat source such as exhaust.

    hope this helps.

    :P

  4. Cat C and D can go back on the road. Cat B is parts/spares only i think.

    thats right mate,

cat A is fit for 1 thing...the crusher

    cat B is spares only..

Cat C and D is if the damage comes to more than 2/3 of the book price of the car then it gets classed as total loss as its uneconomical to repair (in the insurers eyes)

however claims are based on replacing all damaged parts with brand new parts, 9 times out of 10 you could probably fix the car for less than half of what insurance says damage is just by using second hand parts.

thats why so many cars get written off while having very little damage.

  5. West Lothian - the rep through here is good.

Just thinking he could attend a meet and sell some gear :brickwall:

    Brian.

he could do mate... never thought of that :P

the only limiting factor is that he can only sell in his territory... if the meet was in lanarkshire he would be ok but if its in lothian then he would be on someone else's patch which would be a no no....

however i'll speak to him about coming to a meet... think he's ok for hillington.. :brickwall:

  6. Just wondering if there's anyone near me (blantyre, hamilton) who has a purple label maf that i could borrrow for 10 mins..
