Hi, if you are going to paint your wheels take it to your local powder coaters and get them to dip it in chemicle then sand blast it, once you get them back primer them in U-Pol spray primer aerosol and apply heat with a heat gun, the paint curing time could be a gamble depending on the laquer that you use Ie autoclear, gives a nice finish and its not too dear, ive painted wheels both in an oven and without and its the prep that really shows up in the end rather than the paint being poor. But give it a bash its teaching yourself a new skill and its great getting high off the fumes
