  1. Andy F is the man, there are many who will agree. It is a really interesting day out, and drive home. What kind of figures did you get? Cheers.
  2. Kenny Where u parking it?? Do u have to park it at the front car park with all the public/visitors etc. If so that car park is a nightmare, folk jammed in all over the place, or have you got a staff car park u can use up there?? Mark
  3. crackin photos there mate.
  4. Its colin Greer's. I saw it when i was over getting my exhaust done at meercat back in jan.
  5. That's scabbynet for ye lol.
  6. I think that looks great. Nice n mean looking. If u want loud then a good place to start is the backbox. Prob the centre pipe too. I had the H&S cat back, then the H&S 2nd cat delete pipe fitted. Noise wise was louder than standard but not alot. That was the prodrive style one they do. I changed the backbox to the afterburner vortex they do for scoobyworld. Great difference in loudness, how it should be, pops n bangs as well which is great fun. Good price from them just now as well. Seems alot for what you have been quoted. My H&S parts were a bit cheaper than that but was a couple of years ago. If you want to be heard before you turn into your street sort of thing, then I would go for the big jap style backbox. Fully decatting will make a difference down the line as well.
  7. U have a pm.
  8. Get the diagnostic machine on it to read what code is showing up, then you can take it from there. Where you are there is Scottish Subarus near Dumbarton, think they would be closest. http://www.scottishsubarus.co.uk/ However I might be right or wrong in thinking any garage may have the machine to read the codes??? Hope this helps a bit.
  9. Put some pics up so we can see her. Black hawk will look good with black grills for a start.
  10. Another vote for Admiral here. Multi car policy for the scoob with all mods declared and daily driver bout £600 with my partner on the daily and she's just passed her test bout 2 months ago. IIRC my no claims bonus has been applied to both cars. Under £600 all in But I am 93 years old
  11. Stickers on.
  12. £33 for business use to be added to the policy so Sharon can use the daily for her work. Thats from the Admiral. Was hoping it would have been feck all but hey-ho. Cheers.
  13. Have my scoob and daily car on a multi-car policy. My other half is insured on the daily driver only. She has just started a new job and will need to use the car for business use so needs to have the business insurance. Anyone know what extra this is likely to cost? Just a rough heads-up before we phone up and get a nasty surprise perhaps. Thanks.
  14. Kenny lowering the tone as usual . Ive heard the hourly rates are cheaper up Blythswood Sq. Craig McD is the man!
  15. That's one evil scoob!! Graphics wise, maybe take off the foglight and mudflap graphics, prob leave the rear. See what it's like. Cheers.
  16. Haha good vid.
  17. LOL nuts.
  18. Nice. How did you go about doing the exhaust exactly? Really want to get mine looking shiny as. Ive got myself fine steel wool as you mentioned but im obviously worried about any scratching etc. Ive got the Meguiars stuff for doing that. Cheers.
  19. Hi mate. No, it belongs to Colin Greer. Cheers.
  20. With that kind of spec and price I would have jumped at it at the time I was looking for my impreza! Soz to see your selling it Fraser, new project though, will watch out for that. Could be an idea to sell the bits, if you have the time and the oem bits to put back on lol. If you do decide to sell the bits then give me a shout lol Cheers
  21. Hi I know the front bumpers are def different and obviously the wagon doesnt have the flared arches the saloon has. Dont know about the rear bumper but I would have thought that the HT autos saloon rear bug spats could be 'trimmed' to fit the wagon bumper. As far as I know HT do a saloon front bug splitter and a separate wagon one, pity they dont do wagon only rear spats then? Cheers.
  22. Thats good, at least you'll get to see the old dear as you whizz around in the WR1 lol. I didnt mention before that at mot time I had a Whiteline rear adjustable bar fitted. Dont think I took any pics of the fitting. Have to say that its a real difference IMO to the handling. Would really recommend this as a def handling mod, and have done so in other discussions on handling. I was really lucky to win a Meercat voucher at the Santa Cruise xmas meal in Dec, so I called them up and had a wee chat, so decided to go for their snakehead downpipe with 100cell sportscat. Got booked in for jan and headed over one cold morning, day off work etc. Willie and his nephew welcomed me and I was soon holed up in the portakabin with my coffee and playstation. Here she is on the ramp. Another shot up on the ramp. Sorry about the ol' banger in the way, had to wait til this was off the ramp to get mine in lol. Yep, mine is the one in the distance, in case anyone gets mixed up . Now thats a nice fat scooby!! Intercooler off to start with. With my uppipe having been replaced for a H & S one previously it was easier for willie to get in about the engine and downpipe as the bolts werent seized up or as tough to get out as they could have been. I popped in to the workshop now and again to see how the work was getting on. Willie kept me updated and showed me the work as it went on. Heres my snakehead downpipe next to old standard downpipe with the H & S 2nd cat delete pipe. The snakehead goes right back to the centre pipe. The sportscat has been placed at the bottom of the pipe to allow for less restriction at the mouth and maximum flow. It has obviously been made to fit my car perfectly, I think Willie said there had been an issue on some bugs with downpipes touching another part of the car when driving/steering, something like that in the past, but no probs here. Fitted to the car All good, was a good day. Left the engine running for a while to heat the cat and they headed off home, but due to traffic it was a crawl home that day. The next day or so took the car out for a good drive. I defo felt the car being more responsive than before and prob felt a bit quicker, Now, you really have got to love the sound of that turbo which you can clearly hear spooling up bigtime, windows down here we go lol. The car with the sportcat on has stopped banging as much, but is still popping away. Since getting it fitted I didnt think the car was any louder, something I had hoped for, but as the months have gone by I do think its bedding in and the car does have more of a rumble and with the sound of the turbo ( which I did hear before but no way as loud/clear as now ) and the pops it is feckin great fun. Big shout to Meercat. More later. Thanks. If the owner of the fat scoob doesnt want the pic of their car on here, then mods take it away. Dont worry I have passed the cars details on to WBAC.com and they will be in touch.
  23. Have a good one flingers!!
  24. Update time, have had a few things done. After mot/service time last nov, it was noticed that I needed new pads and one of my pistons was sticking also. Spoke to CraigMcD and agreed to get new front discs and pads in. Godspeed discs. Hel braided lines. Craig sorted me out with a new seal kit from Subaru and he went to work removing the front calipers. Both front calipers had one piston sticking. Craig took the calipers apart, removed the pistons, cleaned and polished them up and put them back together with the new seal kit. Carig took his time doing a top job. New discs, new kevlar pads on with recon calipers. ( will paint them at a later date ) Craig then fitted the new brake lines and replaced the brake fluid, you can see them above as well. I had a good informative a'noon and Craig done a top job, the brakes are going strong 5 months later. Will update more tmw. Cheers.
