I came accross 1 in grangemouth other day there. minding my own, when a s****ty astra came ploughing out off the r/bout. almost rear ended me. then had the cheak to give me hand jesters. so i just slowed down to 20mph. even though it was a 30. majourly peed him off but if i hadnt had the kid with me it would have been a different story.

  9. hi folks got a g/box with the code TY752 xrbaa. however im wondering what its final drive is. From what i can find out its from a legacy. Or the impreza wagon. ive checked http://spda-online.ca/modules/tinycontent/index.php?id=28 but it dont have my code. Can anyone help me find out what its final drive is? and as mines is a 3.9 f/d would i be able to just swap its front diff on to mine? cheers craig
  10. ive read alot about the final drive having to be the same. So am i correct in thinking if its 3.9 as mines it will work regardless of what impreza its from? and is it the rear diff thats affected if i choose a different final drive?

  15. hi folks, looking for some help. my gearbox has goosed its front diff. and ive looked for another box, however Ive been told that i need the same code or confirm the final drive. My box code is TY752VRCAA. Which i believe to have a final drive of 3.9. now to me and what ive read its the same on most off them. however not sure how reliable the info is http://www.iwoc.co.uk/impspec2.html. so ive sourced a box out with the code TY752 VZ3AA. does any one know what its from as i cant seem to find the code or info any where. also if its from a 1.6 (as thats the feeling ive got)would it work on mine if i had the rear diff? oh mines being a 20ltr sport. cheers in advance for any help

  22. hi this is what auto data recomends. its the software we use in our garage Tighten in the following stages: 1) 29 Nm 2) 69 Nm 3) Slacken bolts by 180° 4) Slacken a further 180° 5) Bolts 1 and 2 to 34 Nm 6) Bolts 3 - 6 to 15 Nm 7) Tighten all bolts by 90° 8) Tighten a further 90°. They also show a pic of the sequence you should follow I cant get it to copy so al try to explain, 1st tighten the 2nd in at the top (middle bolt) 2nd tighten middle bottom 3rd tighten the top closest to the front 4th tighten bottom near the rear of engine 5th tighten front bottom and 6th tighten top back near rear of engine its the same for both sides hope thats easy to understand basically the middle 2 first then front to back in a x pattern
