as far as im concerened labour are only out to rip off us motorists. And a big part of the problem is all these imigrants that come here and cant speak our lingo or understand the laws etc... we shout stop and the just carry on cos they dont understand we have this issue at work

well here goes my belly or what ever. I have had a look at said car with a very good mechanic. who told me staight to gie it a body swerve. He thinks the car needs hefty work on both the engine and the body i can agree on the body of it. as for the engine it had a funny knock from it that we thought was the big ends on there road ootand its an import that hasnt saw any weather treatment and not 100% on if its straight or not but at the end of the day its your money just be wise and patient with it its also a four door and not two like someone has said

Was wondering if any one knows the price for a 2nd catalytic? As i got a new one for £87 and was told 3 days to deliver. And less than 24 hrs it was on my car. Iam well chuffed as a local k fit quoted £180. And even had the cheak to argue that it dont have two cats only one. Fair enough I had to fit it myself but i enjoy that.

Also sounds like one of (or more)the fins from the preasure plate have snapped. I say this as I also had problems geting into certain gears om my mk1 escort. When we stripped it down saw the fins broken. Changed just the preasure plate and it was fine after that.

My understanding on this is it was originaly the car from the Doune motor musem. And from what iam told the guy also bought a few others aswell. And owns either a buisness or property next to Murrayfield. rougly where the beetle limo sits.

As its an import i doubt it has an immobilizer. But even if it does there real easy to re-code another fob. then either rattle the ignition or hot wire it. But i personaly think they would have put it on a lorry or dolly.
