Hi ladies and gents,looking for a wee bit of advice really.....just got back from down south (sorry i missed tonights meet,but i think i thrashed any life that was in her out ,all the way up the road from somewhere near birmingham!!!! and there was no chance i would make it back down in time with x444) after picking up a nice cleanish example of an 01 plate bugeye in red mica for absolute peanuts,i actually felt guilty driving it away!!! The car is only a 2.0 awd wagon so nothing fancy performance wise as im going to use it for a daily run around to replace my laguna 2 which is about to start costing money so its been told to look for a new home...the wagon did however already come with a nice wrx/sti style factory fitted kit on board consisting of front bumper,wrx skirts and a rear bumper apron,so its not too bad looking apart from the usual minor stone chips and scratches here and there which was expected.it does have a badly cracked drivers foggy which will need replaced any idea's where to find a cheap replacement or does anyone have any lying around unused for sale?? before i go on a recon mission arounnd fleabay. The exhaust is also a bit tatty looking so would like to replace the backbox...any suggestions?? The car has also been fitted with a rear bumper protector type thingy as you open the bootlid - looks quite nice in the sort of brushed aluminium effect with impreza stamped on it if one of the previous owners hadn'd reversed into something solid with it!!! it has 2 bad dents/creases in it an would probably be better off being ripped off but before i do my usual and tear into it i thought i better ask if anyone else has seen these and know what they are attached with? im presumin that they are just stuck on with adheasive tape? i fear damaging the bumper or worse findin its bolted on and there's big holes under there??? What alloys will finish the car off?? will all the normal wrx / sti alloys from the same age of car fit straight on?? remember not looking for huge costly mods just cheap and cherful to tart up a daily run around,but after all shes a scooby and deserves to look good all the time as im sure you'll all agree!!!! Everyone should come to the west of scotland for a wee drive enjoy the roads,scenery your car and best of all the only bit of road you should tread with caution on is the "rest and be thankful" and there is a mobile van unit active around ardkinlas/dunoon road end!! you have been warned!!! but apart from that there is a good few hundred miles of hastle free motoring around my area!! enjoy your bank hol weekend wherever you drive to and from

Distinctive,clean and tidy mate!!! i like the wheels think them being colour coded really pulls it all together..........i would have left the shake n' bake on the back but hey ive got foo-kin-quick scooby plastered up eitherside of my rear side windows!!! things like that always make people look twice and draw a wee smile or two!!! and the funniest thing is my mother actually still believes me when i tell her he was a really famous japanese rally driver!!

New Gathering site lookin good all cred where its due...Just watched Grants wee montage glad to see a couple of my pride and joy in there (good job that man!!) just reminded me how proud and privileged i was when i was lined up waiting to be the first car in the saltire flag,and after to be told that my car was featured in pics on the swrt site too....still makes me proud to say i was there and part of it all..........its the least i could do and my personal tribute to my boyhood hero,well looking forward to infact cant wait for the Mcrae Gathering Presentation.

totally agree with you bud,washed mine a couple of weeeks ago and found a wee ding on the door couldnt believe it when i saw it coz im really picky where i park often as far away from everyone else as poss even been know to be an ar*e and park over 2 spaces at a time eg if car has been at braehead!!!!! find this helps alot!!!!!!!!

Sorry to here that your pride and joy has dissappeared,surely someone out there will notice a series mcrae knocking around they are very few and far between these days,i always ask when im buying where spare parts/second hand parts come from because if they are not surplus stock or come about as part of an upgrade or off a bent motor theyve usually come from a stolen motor,robbing ba***rds shoot the lot of them. really hope you get her back mate

Hi mate im a store manager with Tesco's the hotel should have public liability insurance and as ed-209 previously mentioned it is an offence for them not to supply you with the details of this if you or your solicitor asks to see the details. i know its your car thats damaged but they should be treating it as if it was an personal injury or a something which poses a risk to personal injury....they do have a responsability to look after and maintain the carpark for health and safety...... what would have happened if you or the missus or kid had tripped and fallen and seiously injured yourself?? if it damaged your pride and joy the danger is there. they also have a responsability to provide clear and visble signage warning of danger and also declairing that they accept no responsability for loss or damage. get your solicitor to get in to the ****ers. cheers JV ps nice scoob gutted for you mate.

Dont ruin your special edition mate. it is an induvidual choice i put them on my car and thught they looked great to start with but quickly went off them as they were too much so im sticking to all my carbon fibre bits instead.......but seriously dont mess with a limited ed i think you'll regret it if you do!!
