  9. Morning all, I recently have acquired an 07 2.5 sti ppp. I had my old magenx system from the turbo back swapped onto the car. It consists of decatted down pipes centre section and back box etc. I have been warned that the dash may light because of the emmission control function on the 2.5. What is the easy solution to stop it lighting up if it detects there is no cat or am i best just forking out for a sports cat? or is it easier to had it and some hard earned cash over to Mr AF for mapping to resolve? can anyone experience share? im a bit wary of the 2.5 as its the first ive had, ive always had 2.0's and they have been bomb proof but have heard alot of chat that the 2.5 are a tad more fragile. I ran the magnex on an 05 wrx ppp and never had any issues nor light come on in the 2 years i had the car. Any feedback welcome. Cheers John
  10. Cheers for the info Gus much appreciated
  11. Thanks mate, i thought that, i just wanted to check with others. im thinking of trading the blobby in for a hawkeye and was honest and said there were no cats on her. now i can bargain to keep my full magnex system and ask if they will swap they systems over as the hawk has a prodrive system. I knew i should have kept the old one but thats what happens when you need funds for other projects!!! Cheers John
  12. Quick question for the exhaust boffins......... are the systems from the turbo back on the hawkeyes the same as the later blobeyes ie will be a straight swap over for the down pipe, centre section and rear box............or at the very least the down pipe section??? Thanking you in advance for your help, cheers John

  21. Please take the time to read this post.............. During 2010 Keyline Builders Merchants who I work for as a Branch Manager are supporting the Prostate Cancer Charity. In this time Keyline want to raise £50,000 and to help in this effort we will be driving from London to Monte Carlo and back in 96 hours in a team of 20 cars with 2 support vehicles. The added twist for us is that we will be travelling from Inveraray on the West coast of Scotland meaning that in under 6 days we will be driving 2600 miles between a team of 2 drivers. As a Husband and Wife team in a Subaru travelling from the furthest away destination to take part in Keyline's challenge, we are seeking your support by making pledges and helping to raise awareness. Prostate Cancer is the most common cancer affecting men in the UK yet few of us are aware of it. My Wife lost her father to cancer less than 2 years ago, and we really want to do our bit to support a cancer charity as its close to our hearts. One man dies every hour from Prostate Cancer. The Prostate Cancer Charity aim to fund research, give support and information, and campaign to improve the lives of men with Prostate Cancer. We want to help raise awareness and funds in their crusade in any way that we can. We were delighted to be a small part of the McRae Gathering helping to raise £53000 as participants and now its our chance to to help raise another £50000 for a worthy cause, please help us and show your support. All pledges are gratefully received. LINK NOW ADDED BELOW - http://www.justgiving.com/JOHN-VALLIS Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
