Alrite Kenny, Croc's a forestry plant mechanic and fixes mega £ machines like tiger cats, forwarders and crazy stuff like that,anytime i need anything i bug him in the workshop. It'll be the glasgow meet im going to, are you there or is it falkirk for you?? i know the rear ones i have are too short BUT the thread size should be the same...sometime soon your front stoppers will look and perform like mine and many others...cheers John.

I emailed prodrive and either they are very busy or im not good enough!!! just kidding they probably have a few higher priorities than me i guess as i havent had a reply yet!!! sent them all the cars details , chasis numbers etc so i can either get a set from them or else where. the problem seems to be my cars a very late 2005 blob eye and not the hawkeye version and everyone ive spoken to says the 05-07 springs only fit the hawks and they are not sure if the ones listed for 02-04 will fit coz the cars an 05!! hopefully prodrive will sort something out!!!! just a nightmare mate!!!

Tell me about it mate! i've got the same problem trying to locate prodrive lowering springs that will fit my car,why why why the previuos owner removed they i'll never know ....canny thank him enough NOT!!!!!

Kenny ive got a set of rear gold brembo calipers lying in the garage somewhere mate and i know there are a set of 4 bolts that my mate Croc cut down to fit when were were attempting the rear brakes fit to my car. i will go up the now and see if i can find them,im presuming they will be the same bolt size as the fronts were, i know they deffo fit wrx mount and thread size as we had the caliper mounted but the disc's i had were about 10mm short in diameter and i didnt want to risk it as the car would probably want to tear them off!!!!!!! Im heading down to the meet on thurs now there's minimum chance of being harrassed by the police and vosa, if they are not long enough coz they were cut for the rear calipers i'll go and bug Croc for 4 full lenghth ones for you pal,i'll keep you updated incase you dont get any in the meantime!!

Evening all, does anyone know if the prodrive lowering springs which are blue in colour with this code on them - WO3/D5/001 , 24/05 will fit a late 2005 blobeye wrx ppp or are they for bugeye models or doesnt it matter??? if they fit will i require any other adjustments? my blobeye had all the prodrive upgrades from factory from new including the suspension but one of the previous owners has removed and im sure at the moment its running with standard shockers and standard springs,and i want to return it to as was, all replies valued,cheers John

Alrite mate how are you?,i have a scoop lying up in the garage in wr blue im sure its got 3 uprights and it came off a blobeye wrx if its any use to you? i'll check for part numbers on it when im up...cheers John

now you see guys it always pays to ask!!! i was sure myself they never made ra-r's in the blobeyes and only in the hawkeye form. but your always best to ask those who are in the know...cheers guys. ps sparky hurry up and put your black hawkeye up for sale!!!!!

i Alrite bud how are you? i had a good look at this the interior eg the dials on the centre console this would indicate that its well older than a 55 plate because they are the same as whats in my 2002 gx sports wagon and the ones in blobeye x444wrx are the same as the haweye models and shes originally an 05plate. cars for sales plate l555jjj on a couple of sites is coming back as an sti. i would expect a car producing a claimed 400 horses to have a rather large spec list attached. nice looking car all the same whatever the hell it is!!!

Hi Kenny boy,if your car is pre 2005 the pcd should be 100 it changed to 114 after this on the sti's. a set of sti discs pads and calipers should fire straight on depending on the size of your alloys tho i think to fit bigger gold brembo's you may need spacers dependant on the size of your alloys.......im not an expert mate so maybe some of the technical boffins on here will reply. I have however one of the last 05 plate wrx ppp's and im running 18"pff's and i straight swaped a set of gold brembo calipers ans 330mm brembo discs with black diamond pads straight over no probs at all...................not so straight forward for the back end but the fronts not complicated. i take it your talking about redrilling +2005 spec disc's?? regards John

I'M ALWAYS UP FOR MODS TO MY PRIDE AND JOY...WAS GOING TO TACKLE THE SUSPENSION NEXT BUT IT CAN WAIT I'LL START TWEEKING THE ENGINE FIRST!!!! MY BLOBEYES RUNNING A PRODRIVE ECU FROM A PPP FITTED AT FACTORY,BUT IVE CHANGES THE EXHAUST FOR A FULL MAGNEX SYSTEM INCLUDING DECAT DOWNPIPES,GOT A TURBO SMART DUMPVALVE ON IT THE NOW SO IM NOT SURE IF I WOULD BENIFIT FROM MAPPING YET???? IVE GO A SET OF MAGNEX HEADERS AND UP-PIPE WAITING TO FIT AND AN UPRATED WALBRO FUEL PUMP.HAVE MY EYE ON A FMIC AND A BIGGER BOLT ON TURBO AND WANT SLIGHTLY BIGGER INJECTORS,THAT I WANTED TO GET FIRST BEFORE LOOKING INTO MAPPING. IS IT WORTH MY WHILE THE NOW DOING IT OR WILL I BE BETTER OFF SPENDING MY HARD EARNED CASH ON THE SUSPENSION BEFORE TOUCHING THE ENGINE ANY FURTHER????????? ANY ADVICE OR COMMENTS WELCOME!!!
