  1. Ha ha im only 100 voluntary excess and 200 compulsary I think. Also I can't spell
  2. Glad to hear your happy. I need to get my geometry done after i fit a few more bits
  3. Thats good my renewal came through £568 from greenlight probably about 10 mods though and only 5 years NCD and im only 26
  4. I ran 4/4 for ages was actually softer than standard. I usually run the back alot harder for fast driving as it makes it a bit more lively. Just have a play and see what you think.
  5. I ran a 100% de-cat for several months on my classic with no issues. To get the full benefit you need it mapped though.
  6. How comlpicated is the cage? Any pics? Fit it yourself you lazy git
  7. Ok new wheel bearing fitted. Will see how long it lasts. The old bearing had broken into a million bits
  8. Got my car back today with a new wheel bearing lets hope this one last more than the 500 miles the last one did. Note to self don't bed in wheel bearing on a track
  9. my car is broken and im back to work on next week as well. Have fun driving the length and breadth of the country jase
  10. Why is that so cheap? My last bearing was £105 I will say to D&A that it was just fitted but I have no receipt so could be lucky
  11. No gorillas tactics used a proper press for pushing the old bearing out. Cleaned up the inside of the hub and pressed the old one back in. There was no damage to the inside of the hub. I can only guess it was faulty bearing. Oh iv done trackday since getting the new bearing suppose that may not have helped
  12. Well last month I had to change the drivers side rear wheel bearing. It ended up being a nightmare to do as nothing would come apart. I have done about 500 miles since fitting it and yesterday it collapsed on the A90 which was fun. The last time the wheel bearing failed i could hear humming but this time nothing it just fell apart with a massive clunk. It was a blueprint bearing that was fitted. So why would it fail so quicly? do these need a bedding in period?
  13. Im running 330/320. It is pretty good just now decided that i have plenty power for now but would realy benefit from handling and stopping better. Once thats done i will be looking for 450/450 mostly for track use though.
  14. All those late breaking manouvers you pulled on me at crail wont have helped. My brakes took a fair hammering also will have to get my disks skimmed before fitting the new pads. Fee mentioned you used a lot of oil. Have to admit i lost a bit but im guessing that is out the leaking crank seal.
  15. The bit they gravelled was bloody dangerous I was properly sideways on it doing 60 or 70. My neaside front tyre kind of struggled Was fairly bumpy but to be fair I soon learned what line to take to avoid the holes Had a superb day but it aint cheap. Used £58 of fuel £40 for track plus 2 tyers at £83 each a grand total of £264 but to be fair the tyres needed changed before I went on track. Worth every penny in my eyes
  16. What the sheep thing everybody already knows
  17. The 3" revolution system is meant to be good. Also quiet enough to pass noise levels at all tracks I believe.
  18. There is a fair difference in price between PPG built and fitted and a 6 speed bought and fitted API quoted me £3400 for a built straight cut PPG box with billet selector forks and I would need to provide a TY754 gearbox casing.
  19. Yes think your right hawkeye sti's and 6 speed Forresters have a longer ratio 6 speed box meaning higher speed capabilities in each gear. When i said the gears were shorter in a 6 speed i meant gear ratio no gearlever throw. My 5 speed is braw with the short shift
  20. Where you get that idea? Bought a few more bits for the RB5 so it will be staying for definate. Also need to get myself a runabout so I can take the car off the road and dismantle it and fit all the goodies ready for our little dual at knockhill next year
  21. Yes heard they are pretty strong. I was looking for one and the seem to come in about £2kish From what I know I think you will need prop, correct ratio rear diff and drive shafts and possibly the rear hubs A 6 speed from a uk car should actually go straight on with your standard diff according to a few things I have read. I would ceheck this for definate though. I think I will be going PPG as people complain you are always changing gear as the gears are shorter due to it being a 6 speed. Also I can't resist the sound of a straight cut box.
  22. Yes think I will get myself a security light can't do any harm and might help me get the key in the door of the house after a few
  23. Il put the baseball bat behind the door when i get home and leave a brick on the doorstep as a bit of ammo
  24. No small dog (collie) but big attitude if she aint happy. Local neds but not from my town which why it concerns me. I use the car to regulary for a cover it would just be a pain in the behind plus is it not a bit sad/anal?
  25. I ran a Blitz with a full 3" de-cat and it sounded brilliant but was actually so loud it hurt my head. Iv been through 6 exhaust in 14 months and the HKS ti-tip I have now sounds just perfect especially with the Andy F overrun. The Blitz was just too loud for me I actually felt embarassed it was so loud
