  1. Hi folks... thought I'd put our oar in for Tayside, so anyone from our neck of the woods fancying a convoy can come and join in. A good showing from Tayside last time and hoping for the same. Make sure you're signed up on the main Meet thread in Events and stick your name down below so we know who we're looking for on Sunday morning. It ain't an early start, so there's NO excuses this time! You know who you are! *lol* Here's the (Tayside) list: > BalliSTIc > > >
  2. You WILL get hate-mail... oh YES! Ah well... at least it'll stop our Irish friend whinging now! *chortle* No, Fozzy looks the business, mate. Just need to keep the keys off herslef as noted earlier!
  3. Distinct possibility! An acquaintance of mine went to a similar one recently... described SOME of the driving as... "certifiable"... and asked for his money back after 2 laps!
  4. Yep... I think THAT's the sort of therapy you need all right, sir! *chuckle*
  5. Yes, they ARE rather good aren't they? *chuckle*
  6. Well done lads! Another option would be Inchmichael Garage (Lamb & Gardiner) out on the A90 by Errol. Might be a bit closer for you. They're an ex-dealership but still have all the techy know-how and'll take on pretty much anything. I get all my work done there, their prices are VERY reasonable and their service is superb. No bullsh*t... just what's needed. Hopefully see you thursday.
  7. Currently running DS2500s... fine for fast road. Need a couple of stops to warm up, but fine for out on a run, and plenty bite for round the town even when cold. EBCs? In my book... AVOID. I put Yellows on with standard discs... very wooden with very un-inspiring feel... and they ate my discs! I also know wrx kenny had a bad scare with some Reds which I gather disintegrated at a rather inopportune moment! PFs getting good reviews... but anything over stock might need you to uprate your discs to cope with the extra heat.
  8. Assuming you're using a 79mm crank, 100mm pistons put your cc up to 2484 (from 2457cc). 30cc is probably of questionable benefit. It will also mean SLIGHTLY heavier pistons (being bigger) which will add to the rotational mass - again a marginal increase - although forged pistons may well be lighter than stock anyway. A larger bore will thin your cylinder walls which might lead to problems at MEGA high boost, but at more "sensible levels", 0.5mm is really neither here nor there. I guess the issues are: 1 If you NEED a rebore due to cylinder damage/ big ring gap etc, and: 2 If you want more cc If you just need a rebore, you'll need the slightly larger piston. If you're after a significant hike in displacement, 0.5mm is probably a waste of time. If you're getting a new block, forged 99.5mm pistons will do you fine.
  9. Ouch... perhaps not then. That perhaps explains why the new Type 25 is running Alcons instead.
  10. Don't knock it! That's a very good price and powerstation know their stuff... they're Litchfiled's technical partner and responsible for the worky-bitz of the Type 20s and Type 25s. Alternatively, I can't recommend Graham Goode Racing's AP kits highly enough. Excellent price and superb service. Good brake modulation but will stand car on its nose if required! *lol*
  11. Hmm. Bit of oddness going on with seller... watch this space. Back to the OP...
  12. And he has spangly stickers on his windows! *lol* Might have pipped you to some nice coilies with only 100 miles on 'em on ebay mate... if the deal comes off!
  13. Aye well... better than the St George cross effort he had on the last one... no wonder it broke! *lol* A'ra best for the weekend... stuff the weather and you two have a ball!
  14. KW is best IMHO. They last, they're NOT japanese, and they're progressive. Ohlins cost a bomb. AST ain't progressive.
  15. You're not short on power anyways Kev. Just track it as is. She handles pretty well the way you have her.
  16. Ah, but you're RED now Al, not PURPLE!
  17. ... Just in case you hadn't noticed this in the Events forum *lol* Plus there's info on the Aberdeen and Tayside & Central convoys to Alford. See you Sunday!
  18. For the sake of £300... fit the uprated one! You just know you'll wish you had otherwise! *lol*
  19. Those prices exclude a new flywheel I take it? I thought you were always best to replace both at once.
  20. So... it should all be ready by Sunday for Alford then? *lol* Keep at it mate!
  21. Is there a thread for this? Might be worth a group run down...
  22. Built in the same factory as K-sports are they not? D2 brakes certainly are, so I assume the same applies.
  23. Just me then is it? *lol* All those burgers to myself... sweet. In addition to the main info thread Dale's posted up, the thread for a convoy up can be found HERE
  24. From my experience, Just-subaru (as run by Revolution) are superb. Their customer service is excellent, they know their stuff and their prices are pretty competitive.
