I appreciate your patience... sadly the clothing co is STILL mucking us around over an outstanding order from before. That's been months! Am trying to source an alternative supplier - any candidates are appreciated - but I'm d*mned if I'll put more business back to the previous lot given how poor the aftersales has been. Grrr!

The Harley Davidsons run a yearly event called "Thunder in the Glens" - look it up, I'm not doing your homework for ya! 2 thoughts... 1. What about contacting them and doing a loud bike/ loud car combo-thingy (hopefully you can see where I'm trying to go with this!) 2. What about an equivalently named event for us alone called "Burble in the Borders" picking up on Dave's and John's above posts?

'Nuff said already about once a year... Different venues each year is probably preferable too. It keeps it all fresh, and plus-the-fact we ain't exactly short of quality roads... although some with a bit less grit would be nice - saves us from the impromptu "the-chip-in-my-windscreen-is-bigger-than-yours" competition we had at Falls of Shin *lol*

Robert, I'm sorry, but this makes no sense to me... If I understand you right, we're entering classes based on times from previous runs? In which case, what about folk who've never dragged before? Or are you suggesting we make the spilts on-the-day? That's surely open to criticism too? I'm also not sure about the comment re the 600bhp cars having no chance if they have issues... surely there should be an element of reliability as part of the competition? Surely these guys wouldn't be aiming for these numbers if they didn't think they could get the consistency? Note that this is NOT intended as a flame post and I'm not saying it should be my way or no way either ('cos it'd never stick anyway *lol*)... I'm just very confused - please explain! *chuckle*

I'm with Dunk - BHP is a bit subjective and open to abuse! How about something like: 1 No power mods 2 Power mods but no remaps (eg: air filter, catback exhaust etc) 3 Remapped but with standard internals 4 Remapped, forged internals but standard transmission 5 Remap, forged internals, uprated transmission Again (as with any system) it relies to an extent on competitor honesty... but a bit more tangible than numbers only.

2 hours Lanark to Perth is probably a bit excessive, although I suppose it allows for folk being late at either end/ traffic etc. Am planning on being at Broxden about 1430ish... can always grab a McDs afternoon tea! *chuckle*

Aye, but mind that increases your tyre sidewall by 5% which on a 225mm tyre is about 11.25mm - that's adding 2.25cm to the diameter to your wheel... that's a lot!
