Can't wait for this guys, I'm a car rally virgin so it's my first time.. Always was more into bikes than cars my whole life as I was sitting on the back of them since I was 4! So been to loads of bike events, getting excited though!

Thanks for b&b concerns, we're ok and booked up in central Duns walking distance from where the stands usually are. John, We're just awaiting confirmation if Gordon can get a half day or not, so he might be there on the Friday night too. Will get confirmation for you beforehand. We might end up staying for the Sunday too and making a weekend of it, need to really check the line up! As you mentioned in goat land. I just checked with G and only myself can head down for the Friday providing we meet before hand as I'll get lost!! Sat nav will be handy though. Postcode would be useful. Also are there any recommendations for b and b's? Don't fancy that treck up and down! His opinions are not in my interests mate! All i wanted was some suggestions on decent places to get the work done. On reading it the 2nd time I realize he means the wrx, but even at that, it's affects the hatch just as much as it affects the wrx due to the difference in size of the current system. Thanks guys, Looking to get the both of the cars done, nice and fresh. Unfortunately staying away from Calder motors as heard and known a few bad things about them...and also know they can be pretty pricey for the standard of work, but thanks for suggesting it. Will look into the other 2 and see what they can come up with! Have any of seen or have pictures of a newage with twin exhaust ( 1 at either side) full stainless system? Looking for that on the MY03. Also getting a similar system to the new 2008 sti exhaust system on the MY08. Thanks.

The point in the dyno thing at Hypertech was/is to compete! and people were trying to get the most powerful scoobies on to compete against the other make's.... Thanks for the input from Andyjdmsti - suppose that explains a few things... So all in all basically the evo is more capable of being more powerful than an impreza because they have stronger engines but not the sound, you're saying. And I didn't mean 700 wasn't crazy power but I would say that 900 to the 1000's seems to fit the words!

I realize it wouldn't be feasible going from what I've seen on extremely powerful scoobies or cars in general but there's so many other make's out there that are on the road and handle OKish. So what's stopping Subaru's? I'm saying I've only heard of probabilities wth scoobies rather than actual productions of this sort of power....

Regardless of Andy F's car/s - I'm only going from what others have said i've no idea what power their running at. But surely if there's evo's at 900 and skyline's etc then surely Subaru's haven't really got a chance? Enlighten me... it's the same cubic capacity of engine! P.s. It's in the question folks, We were just discussing the Hypertech charity event and noticed that there seems to be no "big guns" so to speak registered for it. Loving the idea of a 900bhp evo but what's the fastest or should I say the most powerful an Impreza can go to? Even when the engine is the same size how come the astra's...i mean er...evo's/skyline's can easily go into (ok well not easily) the 900's 1000's when Subaru's or more so - the impreza's are only in the 5-700's? Is it something to do with the boxer engine's being non-adaptable to crazy power? Any input is good - as it's annoying! Does anyone else think evo's remind you of Astra's/Vectra's? Kaylz + G
