  1. Glad your happy and it was'nt a wasted journey for you. Cheers, Paul T.
  2. Got a mint Dark Blue Mica UK turbo, just in the process of putting my plate on retension, so will be up for sale shortly, it's a "99" on a T plate. Cheers, Paul T.
  3. Speak to John at Black Art Design (www.blackartdesigns.com), He rebuilt my Leda coilovers last year, All 4 units were fully refurbished and returned in a week. I would highly recommend them. Was cheaper than buying a new kit. Cheers, Paul T.
  4. I had the exact same problem last month when I was through at Progrip. I was getting the geometry set up after having the coilovers rebuilt, there was no problems with the rear geometry before and it was the same shock absorber body and spring that was refited, but the O/S rear was miles out and the tyre was really close the the lower spring cup. The only change made was to the rear ride height which was dropped about 20mm to level the car up a bit. It was a simple fix with a camber bolt and some 3mm spacers to give the tyres a bit more clearance. I've since done 700 miles without any issues and the car handles perfect. Cheers, Paul T
  5. Hi mate, speak to john at Black Art Designs. I've just recently got my Leda coilovers fully refubshed there, done a top job, and not to expensive, especially if you had seen the condition they came off the car in. Previous to that a couple of years ago I had one of my Gaz shocks repaired for my cossie and that was'nt a problem for them either. http://www.blackartdesigns.com/suspensionc...ension_home.htm Cheers, Paul T.
  6. I just got my wheels done last week at Chameleon Colour Coatings in Renfrew, they did a brilliant job. Williams Powder Coatings is just up the road from me but he was'nt able to do them for a few weeks, The wheels he showed me he'd done looked very good aswell though. Both were the same price.
  7. Sorry to be negative about your handy work but those brackets / bolts look like they're going to rub away on the radiator? Cheers, Paul T.
  8. It's not to bad a job to do, made easier if it was only done a year ago as everything should still be freed off!. Its done by measuring not spline, the spline method can result in a twisted ARB. Jack the car up and remove both wheels, undo both lower shock mounts. Measure the height from a reference point in the wheel arch to the hub, unbolt the bracket securing the flex and the torx bolt in the end of the torsion bar, under the torx bolt there is an ecentric washer that has to be twisted round to be removed. Then it a case of removing the torsion bars with a slide hammer, plenty of WD40 or if they're really tight some heat. Once the bars are out, is a case of remeasuring to the height that you want and reinserting the bars and putting it back together. Remember to double check your measurments. Once you start doing it it will become obvious what you need to do, the hard part is removing the bars. I may have missed something as its been at least 5 years since i've done one but that is the basics, This method is for the beam on the car. Cheers, Paul T.
  9. Nae bother! Paul T.

  12. H3 Bulbs Cheers, Paul T.
  13. Have you got a Dump valve/ BOV that vents to atmosphere, Any oil vapour in the intake pipework / intercooler will be venting out it. Cheers, Paul T.
  14. I use Acetone in Veg Oil for running my Diesel Transit on , but is is only 0.15% per volume. When you start to use to much you get experience a power decrease so it must be very combustable, its good for breaking down the oil to stop it thickening when cold and make it easier to burn. I read it helps improve MPG in petrol cars but I don't know the volumes / % used. The only petrol car I've got is the Subaru and I'm not brave enough to start experimenting with it, but if someone wants to try I've got plenty of pure Acetone (not nail polish remover). Cheers, Paul T.
  15. This ain't scare-mongering mate, Come next Sunday if Ratcliff has'nt backed down then that is what it will be! Cheers, Paul T.
  16. Talking about petrol and diesel running out, we forgot about aircraft , ATK is made at grangemouth aswell !!. Cheers, Paul T.
  17. Sorry, Forgot about that, All the Petrol / Diesel for Scotland/Some of Northern England / Northern Ireland comes from Grangemouth, Some of the small petrol stations bring it in through Ross Chemicals in the Docks but not much. Cheers, Paul T.
  18. Yep, He's BP now, I served my time with him. Cheers Paul T
  19. I'm No3 and the T/farm. Cheers, Paul T.
  20. It does'nt matter how much is in the tanks, During the strike nothing will be working so tankers won't be getting filled, and even after the strike it won't take long to run out and it will be weeks before its back in production. I've already filled the cars and all my jerry cans!!!. Cheers, Paul T.
  21. A "Brother" and Fellow Subaru Driver, I'm in the Refinery, where are you? Cheers, Paul T.
  22. Well the Cossie did 800 miles in 2 years and the Subaru has done 1200 in 6 weeks, It was definatly the right move!!. Cheers, Paul T.
  23. The Cossie went because it never got used, it was just an expensive garage ornament. I always wanted one and was lucky enough to get one but it just never lived up to my expectations and if you think running a Subaru is costly try a 22 year old ford, the Cosworth badge puts a preimium on everything. So now its gone and I've got a fun car for the road (Went over the Duke's pass at Callender the other week, It was such a hoot I had to go back and do it again!!) and the left over money bought a fun car for the track. The car went to Dalkieth and is now back on its original plate. Cheers, Paul T.
  24. Hopefully this will work! New Old Will try and get some better pictures soon. Cheers, Paul T.
  25. Thanks for the welcome, I'm ashamed to say so far I have only got one pic of the Subaru and at that it's from a distance and not very clean, I'll have to do something about that though. Got plenty of Cossie pics, anyone got a guide on how to post pics, had a search but could'nt find anything and to be honest computers are'nt my best subject!!. Cheers, Paul T.
