  1. If you liked that you're gonna love this [][][] http://videos.streetfire.net/search/scotla...f46feafd142.htm As Col and Andy say I'm all for a bit of sport but do the marshalls get the day off when the HH is on ?? 1m50 is a cracker - unless you're the driver in the Pug [] Neil
  2. For anyone thinking of getting headlight/side bulbs......... Ordered some Philips Silvervision to replace the orange rear indicators on Monday and arrived today. Came with a set of Osram cool blue sidelight bulbs as well [] Didn't know the offer was on as I followed a direct link from snet. Details here http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk/default.asp?offer.asp Neil
  3. Found this clip - anyone been brave enough to take their pride and joy out at one of these sessions?? [] http://videos.streetfire.net/category/Funn...1026f3eaa8c.htm Comments welcomed !!! Neil
  4. Welcome m8 - I'm another one from Falkirk. Neil
  5. Mine is very geeky but when I did my computing course at Uni whenever I needed to create a directory (or folder in modern speak) I called it Nelsdir (missed out the "i" one time from my 1st name and for some reason it stuck). I challenge anyone to come up with a sadder reason than that [] Neil
  6. I followed this on Scoobynet last yr as I was thinking about going down the supermarket route. I think the only issue that exists around the warranty now is that if you have the PPP fitted the 3-yr pan-european warranty is invalidated unless it's the supplying dealer (possibly in Malta, Cyprus or Greece) that does it. So if getting the PPP at some point isn't a consideration then it's a cracking price. Neil
  7. Had to post this link. Not the most exciting clip ever but hindsight (as they say) is a wonderful thing [] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYMBSdWvag8...=subaru%20crash Neil
  8. Jimmy McRae.....hairpin @ KH........ Nuff said [] Neil
  9. Nice m8 - can't beat a black STi Wagon for stealth [] Wheels look good and the car looks tidy. Neil
  10. Thx for the wave (obviously not from Stirling then []) Neil
  11. Thanks for the comments guys - fair chuffed with them myself. Craig - the prodrive settings were done at the same time. John - I'm not sure if a dealer would need to fit them for your warranty to remain intact. I know that Ian Grieve would have needed to get Duncan at Hypertech to do the alignment/settings if they had fitted the springs and I would imagine the warranty would have been fine. Give your dealer a bell unless you get a reply from Gav or Russ on this thread. Cost was 365 queens-faces fitted and settings/alignment done. Did no-one notice my Scott Lowe Hydraulic boot-lid dampers in the before pic? Neil
  12. Stopped off at Eden on Wednesday for a blether with Russ - kit ordered at 16:45 and picked the car up at 14:30 on Friday [] Top service again - the trip from Falkirk worth it as always. Much less "bounce" on the m'way and handling through the corners like night and day. Biggest difference looks-wise is on the front. That track car of yours Russ is comin' on a treat - lookin forward to some pax laps [] Couple of pics taken on my phone Before..... After..... If anyone can use a set of standard springs (swapping Teins/Eibachs out before selling etc.) then let me know - I'm sure that this yrs Santa Cruise would appreciate a small donation [] Neil
  13. and Duncan for getting my backbox fitted at short notice [] That was after I asked in at Ian Grieve in Falkirk (only stay 2 miles from them) if they could do it to be told that they'd need to see it 1st in case it would melt the bumper....fair enough - the guy might have had no idea what an Afterburner Vortex was but I would imagine that on seeing it the answer would have been "no - aint fitting that". Turns out Dunc has just got the laser alignment kit as well so. Made the mistake of mentioning springs and ended up wlking out with the Tein brochure. As Arnie said - "I'll be back". Neil
  14. If it's no.4 thats causing the problem can you not argue that they didn't diagnose the problem correctly in the 1st place? Also might be worth stating that it wasn't knocking before you took it in so it's "possibly" a result of the work they've undertaken?? Either way - if you haven't done so I'd get straight onto the citizens advice and then trading standards before you collect the car. Good luck Neil
  15. Not for me either mate. I would keep it for the track but whatever floats yer boat.

  18. When you need to decide on a new ECU if you can't get one second hand bear in mind that a certain mapper well known to many on here can supply the Apexi PFC and map it for your car for £750 [] Neil
  19. I sent in an email asking what the prob was..... 1st reply was "Dear Mr xxxxxxxx, I am writing further to your recent email concerning Shell Optimax. I can confirm that there were problems with the distibution of Optimax over the Easter period. Deliveries of Optimax have now resumed. I am sorry for any inconvenience cased. Kind Regards xxxxx xxxxxx Customer Service Professional " 2nd more apologetic reply was "Dear Mr xxxxxxxx, Thank you for your E mail regarding your recent difficulties in obtaining Shell Optimax in your local area. I was very sorry to hear that there was no Optimax available at the time of your visits. I fully appreciate that this situation is unacceptable and I would like to offer my apologies on behalf of Shell UK for the unnecessary inconvenience that has been caused to you. Shell delivers fuel twenty fours hours a day, seven days a week throughout the UK and every effort is made to ensure that out of stock situations are kept to an absolute minimum. On this occasion the lack of Optimax in the region was die to unforeseen operational difficulties, which have now been resolved. Deliveries of Optimax should be back to normal very soon. I apologise for the dissatisfaction you have been caused and any inconvenience you have been subjected to. I do hope that this unfortunate incident will not deter you from visiting Shell branded service stations in the future. Yours sincerely, xxxxxxx xxxxxxxx Customer Services- Retail" Not even a 5p-off a litre voucher Neil

  24. Traded in my MY97 STi 4 wagon at Eden Subaru against a MY53 STi UK. In my experience if the dealer wants you hard-earned badly enough they'll do their best to give you a good price. Neil
  25. This must surely be the winner - blatantly stolen from the front page of scoobynet Ebay link here
