you could try using your charm to get some panel wipe from a local body shop it works a treat you shouldn't need a lot.

i had abs on my old wrx and yeah it makes for no fun i ended up pulling the fuse. have to say in run Yoko' Parada but they never have had a good name for driving in the wet farless snow and ice. try not using the brakes just try getting the car into a we slide before the corner to scrub some speed
-
if your going to change you fluid from dot 4 you will need to flush the whole system. but it you have already gone through 2 l it should be flushed by now. you don't have abs OR ARE U SURE YOU DON'T HAVE SOFTER SHOES ON YOUR FEET. soz man hope u get the resolve

Strange Noise When The Cooling Fans Come On
kookamunga replied to jamesm's topic in Scottish Scoobies
i heard your car at the gathering and it sounded like fan bearings or something touching the fan blades to me -
i did get a new nut with the kit but i was a cheep nylon locking one which i thought would not stand up to the punishment and heat but yeah a wee bit industrial strength thread lock did the trick. sorry boys never meant to cause a tiff between fellow impreza buds. i think we should all meet at the Mcrae Gathering and imbrace in one big group hug failing that we can strip down to the waist and have a bare knuckle fight please put your names belowe if your interested

forgot to say i could do the job for you for a small fee lol
-
i didn't take pics but i have some guides if you want to pm me your email address i can forward them to you if your needing them. but the isnt that much involved just split he turbo leaving the exhaust housing in place so you don't need to mess about with an up pipe and down pipe gasket then its just a case of removing cir clips marking the shaft and spindle i also marked the nut so i knew it was going back at the same torque, then it should with any luck fall apart
-
yeah man i just used a wee bit of paint to mark it up

version 2 sti aslo came with the back lights that had orange indicators the diff between uk back lights and jdm is the uk brake/side light is only half of the top and the jdm they run the full length because they don't have fog lights built in

well finally got around to releasing the big blue cloud that used to follow my car like a bad smell!! yep i finally stripped and rebuilt my turbo I don't know why i put it off for so long. All i can say to anyone out there with a Smokey old turbo and not lookin for the reason to change for a bigger effort at £40 and a few hours work you can't go wrong. I expect not responsibility to the loss or injury to persons or possessions in following this route.

yeah look forward to hearing the nice whine from the straight cut gears just takes me back to the days of running minis p.s i heard it when Stevie was running it in he realy makes a very sweet job of the engine bay. So rest at mind i am not stalking you lol

i have a set of gen sti lights if your still looking were only on my car about a month or so
-
been speaking to a few people in the know and yeah the simtec is good as you can have 2 maps plus it has l,c and a,l but yeah as acid says turbos and clutches every other week would just get tedious and expensive the only bad point with the simtec is it can't retard the timing like the apexi can if its detecting knock i would go the apexi way myself, just wish i could find one for a classic at a good price
-
i would go for the black. white would look ok if its not a different shade from your car which would be very lucky if they are an exact color match safer betting on black
-
why is nobody using this any more
-
yeah sorry my bad should have read the thread when i was not half alseep have to say will be too tight if you have a strut brace and prod not leave much room to fit the cold side pipe but always be leave if you have time and the will anything is possible

Mikeyb13 U Broke My Car Last Night Lol

nah man u show me how to do a brain transplant and i will show u how to do a intercooler transplant -
the craziness of the bypass just as i was along side like i had a chance anyway Ecto1 decided to run on 3 cylinders (grrr silly coil packs) which left me limping home with only 1/2 bar of boost. must of been fun for the folk behind us as your exhaust was glowing a nice cherry red and mind was popping and banging like i was running anti lag. maybe next time we meet Ecto1 will be back on form and i might be able to at least hang around your back door for at least a split second lol. if you get an intercooler i will fit it but might be tempted to drill a few holes in it

If u have the time and don't mind using a hamer to reshape the bulkhead don't worry its not as bad as it sounds . all u need to do is turn the clutch res slightly out of the way by just loosening the hose clip. then cut a few mill off the throttle body and the intercooler neck. then u have the fun of making up some pipes, cold side is easy just cut your old one down a wee bit but the hot side i ended up buying a samco from a v3 then cutting and using some metal pipe to extend the reach. After all that you have to cut the drivers side mount (one from the gearbox) and weld it a bit shorter then fabricate a mount for the passange side. I managed it so yes it can be done. i have just not made an under bonnet scoop to yet. forgot to say about the bump valve you can still fit it on the cold side u just have to make an adapter to keep it away from you ic valve. any problems don't hesitate to ask

yeah i have saloon seats but they are different to wagon ones cheers for trying. just have to keep my eyes peeled
-
yeah have to agree was not really into the wagon thing too. but when some little neds took my salon for a test drive and crashed it into another stolen car it left me with a big space to fill. So this shell came up at a good price and with it being the stiv2 i though i could live with it. but yeah very happy with the end result all i need now is some rear seats to match if anyone knows of any please let me know.

its all cool ended disconnecting the over flow bottle at the header tank and blanking it off. then cutting the bottom off a 2l bottle and taping it into the top of the header tank. filled the bottle, heater on hot run engine at slight raised revs then pumping the top and bottom rad hoses. job done all the bubbles just simply flow out one happy coolant system and one very happy driver thanks for all your replys was on the verge of pushing the car of a cliff, crazy as it took me ages to get it on the road. she is looking good though
