  5. You ever tried to remove decals with a Phillips. Prince Phillip maybe but Zara Phillips would make a bigger mess than the brick method due to her horsey tendancies
  6. I find smashing the hell out of them with a brick does the job nice and quick, hell of a mess though but the decals are off Failing that you could scrape them off with a flat edged screwdriver

  10. Aye yours would be big hitter as well. Dont think this years Miss Iowa has a db limit or is it another event you are talking about
  11. BBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Thats all i am saying. Would love to get a Db measurement at 5k on Andyjdmsti's car
  12. Would the diesel powered varient be called the STD Anyhoo, i am still liking it WR Blue with a nice carbon front splitter and and meaty WR style rear wing. Topped off with a set of BBS rims, now hubba hubba but it still aint a classic
  13. I, for one, applaud them for being bold The current spec car was up against it in the WRC due to its bulky nature and large overhangs at either end. The top dogs at STI realised the base model was flawed and needed a radical approach to get the car competitive again, hence the radical redisign eliminating the overhangs from either end. I can pretty much guarentee that the new design of car will be more successful than the current gen cars. If the new car becomes successful in the rough and tumble world of WRC then the sales will take care of themself. Still would never buy one as the Classics rule and always will
  14. Cheers Euan your a star I will pass the info on, if he has not seen it himself already. I knew Fee had the refurb kit done recently with the kit coming from the dealers. Hence the reason why i sent the buyer towards a dealers for the kit, if i knew there was an alternative that is cheaper and less hassle i would have sent them to that source. I do search mate and i know it is good but this time i needed an actual chassis number. Now there is an alternative source, i now know about, the need for the chassis number is not a neccecity and indeed my thread is indeed useless waste of internet space. My apologies to Bill Gates for a blatent mis use of his wonderful operating system and to Compaq for hitting the wrong seies of keys and to the SIDC community as a whole for distubing thier late night Frosties
  15. Should be on your MOT cert Cheers boss
  16. Need to order a brake refurb kit from the stealers and they require a chassis number to punch into thier hyper computer. My car came with 2 pot front brakes as std, the car was then fitted with 4 pot brakes from a later classic, so my chassis number is not compatible. Now i have sold the 4 pots, the new owner is going to refurb them with a new kit from the dealers, as i have fitted AP's from a TVR So i need to use a chassis number from a 97 onwards car as long as it came ith 4 pots out the factory.
  17. ....from someone with 4 pots on a classic as std
