That would be an Air to Fuel Ratio meter to tell you that the engine is seeing enough fuel when at high boost Grant

<< Well said Billyboy, It pretty much is what it should be, the odd "moment" aside. The issues which were prevalent on another widely used bulletin board were related to the moderation and running of it - which is not an issue here - the issues here seem to be personal, or misguided. There is no reason for bad feeling - this is the internet, not real life and an interest in Subaru is what brings us here firstly, secondly to build up connections and meet friends with similar interests. For that it has been very useful. Long live SIDC. Brian >> If this man was running for Prime Minister, i would vote for him Grant

And how lengthy was this debate? You know it makes sense ..................... Grant

Thought the boost was a bit high myself for a std Jap car but it would concur with the remap it got when it arrived on these shores. Andy was told that it had been remapped for UK fuel but he was not 100% sure without the use the use of a boost guage or a Knock link. Now these two items are fitted the results, apart from the early fuel surge which gave a brief big red flash, are pretty stunning for a std car. Next stop is the rolling road as Dastek to see what power it gives and to check the Air to Fuel Ratio is solid throughout the rev range. A couple of the jap website i have found say that the std boost for the latest generation JDM STI is 19 psi at 3600 rpm so depending on who mapped the car 22 psi is not an unrealistic level of boost. The general activity on the KL would suggest all is well in the MAP dept The big chap has just got to check the AFR to make sure enough fuel is getting delivered Grant

Went up to Auchterarder with Andy to get his Knocklink and Defi's fitted. Top job done by Jamie and a cracking cuppa coffee mate. On the way home found out why the defi cotrol unit beeps with the ign on and the engine not running, the Oil Pressure warning buzzer was beeping as the engine is not turning and it was not seeing any pressure, nothing to worry about. Just stared at the guages all the way home and the resulting boost pressure was a sight to see for a std car and the KL was relatively quiet apart from a bad early start due to fuel surge . We set up the warning buzzers on when we got to Andy's house to "beep" when excessive boost is seen and if the oil temp goes to high. An awesome bit of kit , professionally fitted by a top bloke in a prim and proper manner, and as i said in the title Thumbs up for H1PERFORMANCE, best of luck for the future Grant Grant

There is a Shell garage next to the service area in the centre of Castle Douglas also Happendon services is a Shell outlet, if you were to fill up at the services then you would make down and home on a tank Area between the stages is quite tight so you should be ok for fuel Del, your resume seems appropriate, rendezvous at the Kenbridge then straight to Barney Water, not familiar with speccy access at Barney Water so your the leader Looking forward to it even though we will be leaving Paisley in the middle of the night Grant -

I will buy the Motorsport News tomorrow to see if there is any info on stage times Best bet would be to head to Castle Douglas after meeting at the Kenbridge Hotel for the start to pick up a Speccy pack. After meeting up we could make Castle Douglas in about 15 mins down through Parton. So how about meeting up at 0730 - 0745 at the car park next to the hotel First meeting point .......................... 0630 at the Shell station, Glasgow Airport For Andy, myself and anybody else from Clyde area who would like to tag along Second meeting point ..................... 0700 - 0715 at the Happendon Services on the M74 Sth For anybody coming from Central belt/East coast Third meeting point ......................... 0730 - 0745 at the Kenbridge Hotel, St John's Town of Dalry For Del, Malky, BIG Andy and anyone else from Ayrshire Final meeting point .......................... 0800 at the Shell station in the centre of Castle Douglas for anyone from Dumfries are who may like to pop along the road Word to the wise for first timers Plenty of layers in the clothes dept and hats ,gloves and scarf Portable seat of some description, its either that or the wet grass Some grub as McDonalds are pretty thin on the ground in the forest Some bog paper, its that or the jaggy nettles POLICE MOBILE CAMARA VAN is a Fiat Ducato with Luminous Chevrons on the side and Black Perspex windows on the side and back. Easy to identify from the side but from the back it looks like a builders van. They usually dig it out when there are any Motorsport events on in the region as they regard us as easy pray Grant -

Miss Daisy would be proud Grant -
Filled up before we left and was down to quarter of a tank on the way hame at Dunblane, best waste of the worlds natural resources in along time. Every roundabout in the city centre was attacked with loads of understeer, oversteer, new pants steer and at the same time trying to look as if i meant it That Evo 4 was looking for some action as we left the car park he redlined it to show us how a Mitsi-shit-i sounds stationary which was nice. I spotted him in town afterwards at the traffic lights on the right hand side, when his lights turned to green he decked it after us up to the next set of lights. Pity they had changed and we were already through because i would have loved him to pull up beside us, preferably on the drivers side and i would give him the oppertunity to hear what a proper car sounds like I dont think "Mop boy" was the full shilling if you know what i mean Grant By the way did i mention it was cold, bloody baltic to be precise
-
Best bit was the run up and down, a sh*tload of fuel burned and some nutty top speeds but dont they turbos spin up well in -2c. Some nice chariots with CF bonnets and loads of top sounds but it was bloody cold Gave up on the way back as i knew speed camaras were about, 9 points,130 mph and camara's don't mix well and Matt and Noel were having fun on there own Grant
