  6. << Dave p.s. The P1 has the same map as the type R - it's just got more sensitive knock correction. >> I knew they were Type-R's shipped over as is from Japan. I didnt know to what extent they fiiddled with them on these shores. Grant
  7. I have a wad of official S.I.D.C 2004 Santa Cruise stickers that Phil sent me up in the beginning of Dec and they arrived today. Grant
  8. Anything under half a tank can bring on KL activity due to the fuel sloshing about from side to side in the tank. The other thing that can raise det without it being a fuel issue is the oil temp rising and the fumes being pulled into the induction. The crankcase vents to the induction tract directly above the pistons. This can raise the intake charge enough to cause the activty on the KL With it being a P1, a type-r remapped for UK fuel, i would still run it with booster and Optimax as the 276 horses would be happier that way . If you get any activty on the KL then it might be down to the oil temp or fuel surge. Grant
  9. How does Monday the 31st of Jan 2005 sound to all concerned. Gonna need a load of Boings and Bttt to keep the interest there till the end of the month. Grant
  10. Thats what happens when you let the bloke in Basra decide the time.......... Del, buy a Evo9 and get a slap on the face from me and a kick on the shins from the "Wee One" That is insubordination of the highest level. Need someone closer to Glasgow to decide the time. Grant

  12. If its the MAP sensor from the later cars then Coulty has the wiring diagram to fit a later year MAP sensor on to an early year car. PM him and i think he would be nice enough to email the wiring diagram back to you. Grant
  13. How much................WOW. I suppose 1 careful owner and all that but still HOW MUCH. Trousers down i think. Grant
  14. Looks really good mate. I like the Knocklink subtly placed in the surround Pentland components sell NF but they are mainly based around Lothian way. Millers do a good Octane booster called CVL. Under what circumstances are you getting activity on the KL? Grant
  15. Right you are Dougster, its the one in Hillington as in the largest industrial estate in the UK. Come off the M8 at J26 and head into the far left filter lane which will sweep you round to the Estate, head for Pollock/Penilee/Cardonald and its at the first roundabout on the right. Wrxmania, its round the corner from C+C.............. Easy access from east/west/north and indeed south. Location sorted now the £12.80 question. WHEN? Grant
  16. What about the Brewers Fayre at Hillington next to BK and the Shell station. Day and time to be decided. Grant
  17. The LINK ecu should be ok with the MAP sensor upgrade. It will be the same type of signal as the OE only it will have a different top end perameters. Just dont exceed the boost target the Link ecu was mapped for as the ecu map will not have a corresponding reference point to aim for Grant
  18. Dougster, if we arrange a meet away from Old Kilpatrick then i will personally chauffuer the perma-tanned one to the location. If your stuck for a lift to Fenwick then i may run over to pick your ass up then as well, oh what a nice bloody squirrel i am. Grant
  19. Swiggi come along to the Ayr meet which is being held in the Fenwick hotel on the A77. I think it is being held on the 11th of Jan. Fenwick is not that far from the southside of Glasgow Grant

  22. Rescued from the anals of despair on the bottom of page 3. Amazing how quick things move on here now. Grant

  25. Good roads, good hotel, good food but the hospitality was sh*te. Arrived at 5pm on Friday night after a gingerly jaunt down, only burned quarter of a tank in 135 miles (is this a record), checked in to the hotel and asked if there was food available. We were told that the kitchen was shut. so we headed into a nearby place called Wigton to see if we could catch a Chinese Resteraunt for 2 loverly steaks. Not 1 Chinese sit in place, there was 2 take aways and a pizza place so i thought we will head down to Cockermouth which i reckoned must have a Chinese to sit in for a meal. After a tour de Cockermouth we found plenty of Pubs and Hotels that stated that they served food but all finished serving food at lunchtime. BAH HUMBUG. So the good lady and myself decided on heading back to Wigton, buy a humungous pizza and take it back to the hotel. We headed out of Cockermouth towards what i believed to be the A596. After an hour and a half of "big long straight into blind 90 left into hairpin right over humpbackbridge" ALL THIS WITH NO ROAD WARNINGS SIGNS i eventually came across a signpost i recognised. Left Barrow in Furness 21 miles and Right Workington 37 miles......... OOOHHH SSSSHHHIIIIIIITTTTTT. Where the hell were we and i was down to quarter of a tank on New Years Eve in a place that is deviod of any kind of intelligent life. Let alone an open Shell station. So we doodled along heading for Workington eventually weaving our way back to Wigton some 3 hrs after setting off from the hotel. Grant
