  8. Hello there, I'd appreciate it if you could put us down for Saturday aswell. My brother in law is keen to come down with his scoob (WR1 owner) will it be o.k. to add his details later in the week? Many thanks Gaz
  9. Everyone we know or speak to always think scoobies (Impreza's) are more of an enthusiasts car rather than an everyday family car. Most even comment to say that when they see scoobies on the road they're usually always being driven well below the speed limit. I do get a bit of a ribbing at work though if I take the car (the age thing and all that) but they'll always ask what's it like to drive and are they really as fast as their reputation.
  10. Hi Frank, Thanks for the directions Frank. Don't suppose you know if we'll be able to join the SIDC down there? Gaz
  11. Hi Gord, We drive a Black Blobeye STI. Aye, it's not out much. We're thinking about leaving about 4:30 just to make sure we get down before they close the roads. Not to familiar with Duns itself though... Gaz
  12. Hi all, You can count us in for Friday night. If there's any further requirements just let me know. Anyone else going down to Duns via Dunbar/Grantshouse? Gjlatz
  13. Hopefully see more scoobs on the way down on Friday (Gjatz/Sunny Dunny)
  14. Hi mate, Brake pad life will probably come down to driving style, however changed the front pads on the wife's Blobeye STI at 20k (£70 from Falkland Performance/Black Diamond pads). Car just done 26k and pads still o.k. Will probably change the rears soon. Gjlatz
  15. Thanks for the heads up mate . Gaz
  16. I'm sure you'll find that the noise is the air going past the wing mirrors happens regular (Blobeye STI)
  17. Thanks for the quick reply mate. I have to say that the susp feels ok and the car handles normally, however I'll take your advise and give Nobles a phone. Might see you on the road Thanks
  18. Hello all, Have noticed a strange sound from the passenger side rear suspension when the car is driven over bumps or cobbles (the sound dosen't appear on every bump though). The sound is best described as hollow, drivers side rear sounds normal i.e. quiet. The car is a Blobeye STI We've already had the other Knocking noise from the rear shocks when pulling away and had them replaced by A F Nobles. The hollow sound dosen't happen when pulling away only when driven over bumps and usually cobbles (going through Hollyrood Park in Edinburgh). I've had good look and feel underneath and everything feels solid i.e. exhaust etc. Even checked that the spare wheel was tight. Apologies for the poor description. Has anyone else experienced this strange noise .
  19. Howz about a Golf GTI, R32 or a Mini Cooper S ????
  20. Always flash or wave to any scoob with a scoop (depending on the situation). Always get an acknowledgement especially around the lothians . The missus doesn't bother though (apologies). Keep it up.....
  21. That's a nice looking classic. Should have bought one myself
  22. Just been watching Dave (WRC). Marcus Gronholm will be driving a Prodrive Backed Impreza in WRC Portugal . Aparently this drive is a one off. Hopefully it won't be a one off drive for Marcus or the car.
  23. Hi Chris, We had the same prob with the wife's Scoob, wheels bubbled up (no kerbing either). Queried this with Nobles and after a few photos of the wheels and front end? (taken by Nobles) a new set of alloys were ordered and replaced without question. Good Luck. Garry
