ok bud, RS6 450bhp M3 343bhp M3 is a out and out weapon, has to be a post July 03 one though with the revised crank bearing shells. The RS6's are all auto's as mine was, and this let the car down along with the weight. All the same, it handled fairly well, but it didnt eat corners like the M3. The M3 handles like a pure dream, just as youd imagine, and people say the 18" m3 rims give a better feel, complete toss the 19" are much better I had two E46 M3's and one had the small rims one had the large rims., The Rs6 would eat it off the line though, I dont think ive ever been thrown down the road as hard as the RS6 !! WR1 is supposed to be quicker to a ton but I doubt it very much, and after a ton the RS6 will pull to 155 in no time, mine was a saloon, which is better than an estate handling wise. If I had to choose between the Two, M3 hands down every time, it was a real treat to drive both cars but the M3 could make your hairs stand up on the back of your neck down through some nice roads, awesome car so madly advanced on the E36. -

Woah, never ever though of changing the scoob! Especially for an evo!! It's just good to get a point of view from someone who's had both, that doesn't happen very often thanks! next car, in quite a few years time will probably either be a 320bhp STi (possibly hawkeye) or just beef up my bugeye a bit more, but would prefer the better suspension set-up available on the STi! although may be tempted by a RB5, WR1 or RB320, but if I'm honest the leather seats in the RB320 are poor they just don't hold you in as well as other seats! [:|] The standard sport seats in my WRX have better side support. (But they dont look as good) Thank god for that mate, a subaru man to the core you are then RESPECT The best scooby seats ive seen were the P1 seats, but the sti ive got just now they are quite smart, im not that keen on the WR1 seats they didnt even emboss them with WR1 !! -

I wouldnt like to go unless I knew folk there, and im probably a bit older than most at 33 coming 34. Maybe a RR day or something I was thinking about organising one in Ellon. -

RB320 is cool bud, I was watchin one at crail on the Jap day. The WR1 already has the Prodrive WRC handling kit as they call is lol. Obviosly the other sti I have just the normal high riding suspension, its ok tho for my needs lol. Re the scooby evo thing. Thats a big subject LOL, as you know ive had 3 evos', 8 scoobs of all guises from the Classic wrx's to new age wrx's classic sti's., new age sti's etc etc People hark on about evo's and how they are so great and so much better, but half the time they have never made a good comparison by driving to equal cars. To do the test you have to take a standard evo 5 and place it against a standard sti import or along those lines. i.e both have 276bhp So having had both of those, I can tell you that theres nothing in it performance wise mate. Handling wise, id say the evo probably is slightly more sharp and precise. Evo's are built poorly and always need money thrown at them tho, hence im done with them once and for all now. My last one the 5, was as mint as you can get, but even that needed something doing every week, it was a joke. Id stick with your scoob bud, if your gonna change again id got for a ver 5-6 sti properly modded up just to say 320bhp, you wont find a quicker car on the road, they are superb. Or if you can, a mint P1, I loved mine, they are awesome. The new age sti's are ok but they need more power ! If I can answer any direct questions bud just ask I can only try ! -
Welcome bud, excellent job on the car.

Dan, I sold it via Pistonheads, 10k no offers and thats what I stuck to., I had two complete assholes round viewing it, they were lucky I didnt run them over, the whole concept of going to view a car without cash in hand knowing you have a car to sell yourself totally amazes and bemuses me LOL -

Frank, cheers bud heres my business site, I also own some property and a shop. Ryan, no bud, I got this through a mate Gary McKnockiter he runs RM cars, basically he gave me the heads up as it got traded into macrae and dick in ness, against a new rangey, the cars from wick one owner, orgionally bought from dicksons in inverness. This one has the prodrive pack bud, gets it upto over 280bhp the standard sti 261 I think. Ive sold a few cars to march motors but never bought one from him, he wants to much money for them !! Ive seen your pals white 07 yes bud, im no fan of them are you ? that rear spoiler things pretty bad ! Fai cheers mate, the WR1 has only done 15k,. and absolutley mint, only comes out of the garage on sunny days -

Thought id pledge my alliegance to subaru. I sold my Evo 5 and bought a 03 sti uk ppp today. Thats me got the WR1 for weekends and the sti for daily driving, I think that is my 8th scooby now !! At some point this week, im going to write a comparison article for the guys on WR1oc but will copy it here

Yeh they take a lot of criticism, but its only fair to say that there are some good ones amongst them, but I agree there is a lot of rotten individuals who are police officers. 5 of my staff have left me and gone on to become police officers in the last 5 years, it wouldnt be for me but good luck to them.
-
Not so good to hear, I bought my P1 from Bill in Inverness about 4 years ago. I had it serviced there once, the bill was horrendous LOL, I do like the guys in there, but have to say they dont have a clue when it comes to management lights etc. You may be better using Glenburgie Subaru, Ive not used them, and they arent main dealers but they are well enough known to qualify as acceptable round these parts for servicing.

Have to agree AVA are a pile of pish. They told me my evo was detting, when it wasnt, idiots, the car was mapped and set up by one of the best evo mappers in the country.

pulled by the police 2 (Window Tints)
glen_cadwallader replied to scouk's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Glad to hear it mate, however I still think they should have just gave you a ticket to fix it, and not stick points on your license, that really sucks. -
heh cool, they have used my RS6 engine bay in there opening sequence.
-
I use polished bliss for detailing my motors, they are awesome. Only really worth it though if you have a 20k + motor as its about £400 a shot.
