  1. That sounds like a plan Rob. If you're not going after the meet, the meet could be there if there's not much on the club agenda anyway?
  2. Hello and welcome mate. Where are you from? If you were at Knockhill, then somewhere in Scotland?! Remember to come over to the Scottish Scoobies section.
  3. Mmm, well...I guess I'm doing an average of 10k a year and I get it serviced every 10,000 miles so that's an average of about £300 a year for me. Depends on what service you're getting etc. I think I average about 200 miles to a tank. Aside from that, there aren't any other costs really apart from decent cleaning stuff to keep it looking it's best!
  4. Mmm. The only time my gauge flashes red is if the engine is off(ignition turned on) or if there's an issue with the sensor?
  5. I've had my standard wrx wheels painted recently at a much used, much thought of bodywork shop. He said you're better off getting them painted (I know he would say this) and he thought the opposite about powdercoating with regards to durability and it coming off in chunks etc. I seemed to get an equal amount of fors/againsts with both. I also thought with paint, I had a much wider range of colours to chose from. Certainly happy with mine.
  6. Hello and welcome mate. As has been said already, there's a long list but the exhaust/filter mods are usually the first if you're after power gains. It appears all the scoobies you see are from http://www.surreyscoobies.co.uk/ going by their home page. Don't be a stranger here though
  7. Can't remember if I've posted on here already. Probably have but it's different now so updated pics
  8. Er, 'might' have been me. Did I pass you at 70 while you were doing 50? I would've been heading to the pool.
  9. I had my up pipe made at Meercat. Think you call it a slip joint? Two piece thing that only bolts on at each end. Makes a tight seal when it warms up or something? No issues anyway!
  10. I'm by Beith mate. I'll be heading along the A737 to Hillington for the convoy to Falkirk.
  11. Excellent. Congratulations Always enjoy the write ups.
  12. Was it SF something? One of the ANPR team's Mountune ST's. Nice.
  13. I know that we know what our cars are like, but for those looking for their first Scooby, he doesn't really sell it with the line: "but insurance is too high and scoobys are expensive to run" Guess he's just being honest!
  14. Haha. Do you know, I'd never really thought about it but now that I do..you're right! I'll never make detective!!! There are too many to post about I guess but I hadn't seen any round that way for a while and I do think the BMW estate is a good looking car.
  15. Heading to Greenock this afternoon and saw a black, unmarked BMW estate that had pulled a car just past the 40mph section. VRM was SH/SF59 HCK
  16. Have a good read of Andy's site. He gives you a guide of what parts would help to achieve a certain amount of BHP depending on what stage you want to go to. Worked for me!!! Having PPP is a nice start as well.
  17. You'll get all the prices on Andy's website mate but if I remember, it's about £500 +VAT. This also depends on whether or not the ECU in your car has been mapped before? When I had my car mapped I had to pay cash. Don't know if Andy takes cards yet although I think you could pay via Paypal.
  18. Excellent choice mate. If I hadn't read your 2nd post I'd have suggested Meercat myself. Had one of their sportscats for nearly 3yrs now. If you haven't got one yet, get the Meercat centre section as well. Actually, get one of their up pipes as well!!!
  19. What Al says I've had my blobeye wagon for 3yrs and never had any issues. Yes, the car would attract attention but considering how many people we have on the forum, I don't think I've read too many posts about cars being nicked.
  20. No idea about the ECU but might be worth dropping an e-mail to Andy saying as he's going to be doing the mapping? Be warned that you might not get an instant reply from Andy.
  21. Hello and welcome. Lovely car mate. Don't see many around. You German, Brit working abroad? HM Forces?
  22. Today I've been in Dumfries. Took the wee one to see her gran and other oldies at the bowling club then had a nap while wee one had a nap. Just in (and it's not even midnight) from a few drinks round Dumfries. Feeling old and married because we're home thinking that one of us will be up about 0630hrs with previously mentioned wee one. Crazy life I lead!!
