  1. I've had my Meercat 100 cell sports cat for a couple of years now with no problems
  2. Looks good I think that is a good price because Richer Sounds have it for much the same and they can be cheaper a lot of the time.
  3. Looking good Chris. What colour were they before?
  4. Hi mate, Can't help you with a local garage but if you were that desperate and could travel, you could maybe contact Craigmcd who has a garage in Glasgow or Badbaz in Lesmahagow. Not close but thought you deserved a reply at least!
  5. The new EBC Bluestuff pads are getting good reviews. Apparently really good from cold. Ian Godney is praising them as well. Told me the fronts would be £110. That would be for a 330mm disc so don't know if standard size would be any cheaper.
  6. Ah, that's good to hear. At £25, it's worth a go. Daft question but how damp does your carpet get? Just so I know if I have to plan a day away to let it dry. Cheers
  7. Hi mate. Have you shopped around for quotes? This club get a good deal through Keith Michaels insurance but make sure you ask for Gary Moulson. There's also A-Plan among others. As with the turbo version, a good place to start would be your exhaust system and uprated air filter. You can rid of your catalytic converters or get a sportscat. And you might find that where the car lacks in power compared to your vector, it'll make up in handling
  8. Hello and welcome Matt means...how do the Swiss people like Subaru cars and the noise they make? Do you have strict laws on noise from cars?
  9. Sorry for a small thread hi-jack bud...but can anyone recommend a good cleaner to hire (unless I can also borrow yours at a later date ). Need to clean ours after 2yrs of a wee ones spillages!!! Thought of the Rug Doctor from B&Q but heard it isn't that good? Cheers
  10. Oh yeah!! My partial colour blindness coming through there!!! I think Samco do orange hoses
  11. Looking good. Now how about a set of red silicone hoses to set it off?
  12. Then you get into the argument about which cables!!! You might have seen it already on AV. Spend loads on a Monster gold plated number or a £5 one from Tesco?!!?
  13. I think it's a case of being too close. I'm sure plenty of people watch full HD from 6th away but that was just a guide from the AV 'purists'!. You'll find everything you could possibly want on the AV site.
  14. As I'm Scotland, I can't help with the car but I can welcome you to the club mate Good luck with the car
  15. Hello again....already said hello over on the Scottish side!
  16. Don't listen to them!!! Power!!!!!! I got my car modded to 334bhp/335lbft and then got the brakes upgraded!!!!
  17. Hi mate, A good place to look is on www.avforums.com Guys on there are to TVs etc what guys on here are to scoobies!! After reading on there, I went for a plasma over an LCD. Plasma tv's have come on a lot and as long as you get something like a Panasonic, you really don't have to worry about image burn/retention etc. Was given advice to turn your settings down a bit for the first few hours etc. Good place for info. I got a Panasonic Viera X10 which is discontinued but has been replaced by http://www.johnlewis.com/230878194/Product.aspx When you say you want full HD, do you need it? I ask because I thought I'd get it but wasn't 100% sure if I'd get SKY HD etc. As my viewing distance is about 7 or 8 feet, I was told that the 720p resolution would be just fine and that's turned out to be true. My xbox 360 looks amazing on it!!! And if you get an idea of tv's, have a look at the prices between Richer Sounds and John Lewis. John Lewis do price matching. Both stores offer a 5yr guarantee but you have to pay for Richer Sounds and apparently their insurance is through themselves whereas John Lewis have a separate insurance company so you 'should' be safer if the company folds....maybe more likely it would be Richer Sounds?? And forget about John Lewis's blurb about the shop having to be in a certain radius from your house etc. By 'the book' the Glasgow branch didn't have my TV in stock so JL 'couldn't' price match. Questioned it (after reading AV forums) and they went off and found one in stock in the London branch of Richer Sounds and price matched. Richer Sounds is a good place go to look if you have one near you? Cheers
  18. Mmm...I'm thinking that if that was me I'd had flown up expecting to pay the asking price! Try haggling and anything off would be a bonus! Just means you'll sell it to someone else who it'll mean more to
  19. Hello and welcome mate Haven't used DR but can't remember hearing anything negative. Don't think he's been on here for a wee while. Might sound daft but you might want to copy this question in the Scottish area if you don't get quick answers here
  20. I'd heard the same. The EBC bluestuff are getting rave reviews from a few on Scoobynet and they're cheaper than my Ferodo DS2500s.
  21. Too far away from me but maybe give the search function on here or dare I say, Scoobynet, and you might get some info
