Hello and welcome
-
but not to the shake and bake
I agree with Gus's agreement!!
Definitely a grower though.

What are the Brembo pads like?
At my last service at Greers, Bill mentioned them as a possible next pad when I'm due a new set.

AMG's are the way ahead
Is this another planned toy for you Andy while you wait for the GT-R?

Coming home from work yesterday afternoon, crossing the Erskine Bridge.
Only doing about 70 and caught up with some slower cars so pulled out to overtake
them.
Ahead of me was another car overtaking, a black 56 plate SL65 AMG.
He was only doing about 65 so I don't know if he thought I'd try to race him (as if!!!)
but he decided to floor it.
Blimey....don't think I've seen anything in the flesh move so quickly.
I had gone to 80 but felt like I was standing still.
Had a look at the stats for the car:
612bhp / 737lb/ft
Unlimited, a 200mph car!
£146k!!!
But for all that money, the 0-60 is 4.2secs which I'm sure there are some Scoobies that can do that at
a massive fraction of the price.
Very nice though.

G.T haven't you notice the recent increase in the amount of bad driving subaru's in our surounding area. There is three I know of that stay not to far away from me and thats all they do is sit up your a*!e thru the town then overtake in the most stupid place as soon as you leave it and end up about two cars in front.
pointless.
Do you know the post office near Glengarnock railway station? I've been overtaken on that straight by some young lad in his corsa and it's a favourite of some to overtake down the hill as you come into Longbar.
Like you say, they get get stopped by lights/roadworks up ahead anyway!!!
-
The thing is, if you're coming from Glasgow and you see a few cars in front of you, you should know
that you might as well relax because there aren't that many overtaking points!
No wonder there are quite a few accidents on that road!
-
I started using Autosol which kept it shiny but recently have been using Meguiars metal polish and it's really good.
Even gets the edges of the lip shiny and they were pretty black with the exhaust gases.

Was it a silver saloon with a low spoiler or a wagon?
I'm sure I saw you guys as I was going home. Have you got a personal plate?
I remember thinking, 'Oh..two Scoobies'.
Must've seen you before the overtake as the silver one was 2 behind you.
Not good!
I had a BMW overtake me past the Howood turn off and he only pulled in near the crest of the hill (going to Beith)
on the solid white lines! If he had met someone tanking it the other way.....

Ordered!
Still a fantastic job you folks are doing with regards to all this
Great picture with Chris and Petter and the Time Attack folk

Nice one Gus.
I was never a fan of white cars but since being on the site and seeing a lot of them....I like!!

I fancied the new F1's next time round. Don't like my OEM Pirelli P7000's at all.
Have you had them on long Casper?
from you?
My Pirellis are 215/45/17. Could I put on 225/45/17 instead?
Would there be any difference/benefit?
Cheers

C'mon the wagons!!

Hello and welcome
-
Not far from the post office/railway station.
Usually only head into Kilbirnie for Tesco.
I've got the wagon, as per my picture!
-
Hello and welcome
Are you local? I'm in Glengarnock so if you're local you'll no doubt have been along to
Greers as well as Meercat?
What a great place to live!!!!
Not for the bank balance though...
-
Excellent. All very exciting
!!
Thanks for the update Grant

Peter....as discussed earlier, this is what I was talking about with regards to the front ARB.
To quote John:
"No, was advised against it. To fit the front one too would make the car very stiff, so in the wet or on our crappy bumby roads, the car would slide around or skip on the bumps. Therefore, leaving some flexibility in the front means the car can grip better. If it was a dedicated track car, then there would be no question of fitting both"

When declaring my mods to Keith Michaels (Whiteline kit, suspension, ALK, sportscat) he said that it wouldn't have an effect on my premium with those 'first stage' mods.
From an insurance point of view, stage 2 would then be a turbo upgrade etc they said.
Window Tints
in Scottish Scoobies
Posted
Hi folks,
As we have the wee one now we got some of the sun visor things for the back windows
but they aren't the best with all this great sun we're getting![](https://sidc.co.uk/uploads/emoticons/default_laugh.png)
![](https://sidc.co.uk/uploads/emoticons/default_banana.gif)
So, I was thinking about getting the rear windows tinted but wasn't sure about the look.
Does it look 'unfinished'?
Would any of you out there be able to post up a picture of your wagon with just the rear
done?
Or would anyone be able to photoshop on the picture of mine?
Thanks very much![:banana2:](https://sidc.co.uk/uploads/emoticons/default_banana2.gif)
