  1. Here we go. Can't remember all the parts of the test.

With regards to the results....where the max allowed was 0.20%.....my reading was 0.08%. Another one (can't remember what) had a max allowed of 230ppm....reading was 6ppm and the lambda was allowed 0.97 - 1.03 and my reading was 1.01 so all within.

  2. I've got the Meercat one. Got the sportscat/decatted downpipe and centre section with the Prodrive

    backbox.

    Easily passes the emissions test.

When Wullie fitted mine, before handing it back he went off and got it tested and there's

    was room to spare.

I posted the figures at the time. I'll have a look and see if they're still about.

As everyone else will tell you, the work is second to none. Lovely marine grade s/s.

    It's also a 100 cell.

  4. I'd be interested to hear what you guys think.

What benefits are there in getting the geometry done?

Greers put me in the direction of Duskview Garage in Barrmill which is a couple

    of miles from Greers.

Got the Prodrive settings and it certainly feels better in the turns.

Peter goes there....a lot apparently!!!

  5. G.T. – Had heard great reports on The Ship Inn, so will have to give there a try – probably Tuesday lunch.

mctwistuk – Hope to bump into yourself at some point, don’t think i’ll be there till Monday pm.

NKWRX – Definitely bringing the clubs through, the Hotel we are at has a (junior) 9 hole course? So i’ll get the kids on that.

Heard there is an RSPB area near Meercat, does anyone know if it’s any good? Wee boy got bird watching stuff for Christmas.

    Thanks

    Derek

If you go the other way from Kilbirnie, towards Lochwinnoch, you can go for walks along there.

That's where the bird place is/might be if I remember.

I'm only a mile or so from Meercat so I'll maybe pop over and see some members cars!!

  6. So is yours a full 3" system from the downpipe back, or does it narrow down to the 2.5" to mate with the downpipe?

Any chance of letting us know (or just me by pm if you want?) 'cos it's sounding very much like what I need to get done myself... getting a bit fed up with the silence ;)

I have the Prodrive system as part of the PPP. Kept the backbox but Meercat have put

on a sportscat/decatted downpipe with snakehead from turbo and centre section which

just enhanced the exsisting burble! :hyper:

    Can't go wrong.

  7. Can't believe it's 2008 already!!! B)

Car wise, if I had the money I'd love to upgrade the turbo and get a trip to Andy F to get some

extra power out of my wagon.

But...as my wife is due at the end of April with our first kid....that'll have to wait!!!

    Hopefully not too long! :)

At least we're keeping the car which I was worried about. Lucky it's got the room we need!

Work is work so I'll just keep plodding along and try to keep myself amused along the way.

Don't imagine a Lottery win is coming anytime soon!

Hopefully my friends and family will have continued good health.

All the best for the year folks

    :iagree:

  8. I think a lot of blame has to go with the businesses who will readily apply the tints to the cars for

    the customers.

Having never had it done, can someone tell me if they tell you about what's allowed or not?

As a member of Scotlands 'Premier Force', I've been out with traffic guys who will pull folk for number

plates and the driver didn't have a clue about what was allowed or not.

The argument is always that if you're driving a car, you should really know what you can or can't do.

It's not just different forces in Scotland, or Divisions, offices etc...it'll always come down to the officer

dealing with THAT situation at THAT time and wether or not they choose to use their discretion etc.

You do something on my beat (say booze related) and, I would give you 2 or 3 chances but I know

guys and girls that I work with would lift you before that.

If the Paisley traffic cops were stopping a few folk, it may well have been a current 'Action Plan'.

A bit like you hear on the radio about the drink drivers. We are always on the look out for drink drivers,

but at certain times there will be an even bigger push.

Most uniform cops I know won't get involved in traffic but it's always there for people who are 'deserving' of it as it's pretty much black and white with regards to what's right/wrong.
