  1. What code was on your ticket?

I think that if you didn't pay your ticket (if the code is wrong) and took it to court, a decent lawyer would

get you off on a technicality....IMHO.

Unless someone has had a similar experience and can tell us differently.

  2. I have one on mine, it isnt exactly a DIRECT bolt on as such, but isnt a major job either. The holes line up, but you have to use bolts rather than the original fixings. Not a problem though and i like mine!!

Emoe....sounds ok because I'm not the best with DIY!

Does the scoobyparts one look like this

    From their picture

    http://www.scoobyparts.com/cgi/sh000002.pl..._2d8_2f9_2fBLOB

I can't really tell if it's the same.

Need to try and source the undertray as well which isn't the easiest. Do I 'need' the water spray?

    Cheers

  3. Hi mate,

    Just saw this.

We don't sell any bonnet scoops for the blob-eye models.

The scoop we do sell for the bug-eye won't fit your car.

    David

    Hi David,

Was planning to phone you today and ask. No need now!!!

I did see the 2001-2002 so was wondering.

    Cheers

  4. Another thumbs up for DR motorsport. I got mines for my wagon when i had it from David and i comes painted ready to fit. :D

I had a look at the DR website. I guess the difference between 150 and 95....I probably wouldn't be able to get it sprayed for less than 55......or could I???

Is the one from DR a direct fit? On their site it also says 2001-2002....will it still be ok for MY05?

    Cheers

  5. Hi folks,

I'm looking at getting one of the larger high level bonnet scoops for my MY05 WRX (I think this is the STI 8?)

    1) because I like them

    2) looking at getting an STI intercooler

Scoobyparts seems to be the cheapest place (that I can find) for the scoop (unpainted).

    http://www.scoobyparts.com/cgi/sh000002.pl..._2d8_2f9_2fBLOB

Spoke to them and they said it's a direct bolt on job.

Any thoughts or other places to buy from?

Think I'd need to get a different part for under the scoop IIRC?

    Cheers

Yeah...ouch. That's why I'm trying to get hold of one after his recommendation.

Having trouble though. One on fleabay for £340 which Andy said wasn't even a VF34!

  8. Hi folks,

I've been e-mailing Andy F about other things and asked about the group buy costs.

It's as it states on his webiste.

    Cheers

To remap an existing Power FC is £280+v (GB > £250+v)

Ecutek custom remap including licence for MY99- MY08 is £500+v (GB > £460+v)

A remap of one of my previous Apexi/Ecutek/Autronic/Simtek maps is £195+v (GB > £180+v)

To supply, fit and map a new Apexi PFC and Commander is £795+v (GB > £760+v)

  9. Hi folks,

Going on from my recent post asking about experiences of buying from abroad and ebay, I thought

I'd narrow it down to the UK.

After recent e-mails with Andy F, he recommended the VF34 to me, so that's what I've been looking for.

    Recently found these two.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=130257697667

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=150297728817

Both items have ended but if you scroll down you can still see them.

I'm just wondering how the prices could differ so much? £469/£340!!

They both look fine to me so I'd obviously be interested in the cheaper one, but are there serial/part

numbers I can ask for or anything that stands out that tells me that they're genuine?

Just a bit cautious when spending that amount of money.

    Should I avoid ebay?

    Thanks

  10. Mmmm, maybe I should alter my post a bit? To start with I thought the VF34/35 were better than Andy F's

hybrid of the TD04 but I'm no expert.

When I saw the prices for the VF34 on ebay, I wondered if it was too good a deal, hence the post.

Now I could ask.....'will I just go for Andy's hybrid?'

Ideally I'd love to get as close to the 300bhp mark as possible without going into spending big bucks.

My wagon is a MY05 WRX PPP with decatted downpipe/sports cat.

Was looking at the new turbo, injectors, up pipe and remap.

So, based on that target, it seems the AFP4H is ideal and at £400 exchange is cheaper than the VF34.

But...I see Andy does the AFP5-16 which is suited to more power but comes in at £80 cheaper? I'll maybe

have to e-mail Andy unless anyone can tell me why this would be?

For the folks who have been to Andy and have one of his turbo's, I'm assuming I don't have to worry about

    buying reconditioned????

I've never heard anything bad about Andy's stuff but usually prefer 'new stuff'!

So..........with the prices being close, is it a good saving with Andy's own etc.

    Cheers again.

  11. Hi folks,

Just wanted to get your opinions/experiences.

I thought the ballpark figure for a VF34 was about £600/£650 from what I'd been told, but looking on ebay

    http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trk...3&_nkw=vf34

there are 3 going for £512 and £499 (Japan) and £490 (UK). Are these good deals?

They say they are new but is it worth buying 2nd hand? Can you go wrong?

If I remember, Gus was looking at getting a VF34 from Japan last year for the fozzy?

    Gus???

The sellers are JAWarehouse and KINUGAWA Turbo which I know nothing about.

Also.....for the above....is it safe to buy 2nd hand pink injectors?

    Just curious.............. :D

    Cheers

  12. I see....just read an old topic on the Progrip vs Hypertech geometry set ups.

I was going to ask how Progrip can be better but I understand (kind of) now.

You think that would sort it Peter? I believe you run with front and rear arbs?

Spoke to Jason at Greers about the possibility of me having front and rear 22mm and he thought

    that this wouldn't help?

  13. look under your car where the rear ARB sits and look for holes in it where its bolted on, if its adjustable there should be another two holes on either side of the ARB so i can be adjusted, try setting it up differently before you go and splash more case m8

The rear is indeed adjustable...in the middle hole at the moment. Just to need to see if it's 22 or 24mm.

  14. Spoke to AWD who sold me the arb's and according to their records, I was sold a 22mm front and a 22mm rear, both adjustable.

The guy I spoke to said he's not sure why that would've happened as normally it would be 22/24mm.

  15. i have a 24mm front and 22mm rear with whiteline drop links all round

quite like the way it handles as well

Aye mate, I remember a similar topic where you mentioned that. That's why I'm open to all replies!!

You have goats as well ;)
