  1. Nice one mate! What torque did you get with that?

And you got a VF34 from Jimser? What is he doing, growing them or soemthing?! I got mine from him too you see

Enjoy the car. I need to think about moving on, too many people in the 300 club! Do I really need two kidneys or two lungs? Hmmm

Got 335 torques to go with my 334 horses and yes Jimser seems to have a VF34 sweat shop going on in his shed!!!

Yeah....the 300 club too common for you now!!!! :D

  2. You can either open an account with Photobucket etc and put up the link to that or if tou have the photos saved

in a file on your C drive, when you're replying to the thread, click on the browse button underneath, find your

photo, double click on that then use the upload button.

That 'should' work....if I remember!!!

  3. The JDM STI TMIC covergae area looks the same as a UK STI, just seems to have a "notch" in it at the top, and undertrays always seem to advertise ver 8/9 compatiable (inc. jap performance parts ones) which is fine, just wasnt sure about the scoop mounting shape from a blobeye to hawkeye as their was a STI 8 scoop and undertray set available elsewhere.

If you count the cells on the top mount....should have 33.

Found an old messge from David at DR Motorsport. He said that the scoops were unique to each model, so that's

why I had to get the Blobeye STI for my WRX Blobeye.

So, based on that....a hawkeye wouldn't fit a Blobeye....unless someone will come along and tell us differently!

  4. Joined the 300 club today :driving:

I've got a MY05 WRX wagon and over the last year I've had fitted -

    Walbro fuel pump

    Meercat decatted snakehead downpipe

Meercat centre section....................... kept the Prodrive backbox.

In recent months I'd been thinking about a remap but kept on telling myself that I didn't need it etc.

But...........eventually I thought, 'To hell with the credit crunch'!!! and set my plan in motion.

Did my research on what I wanted then went about trying to source the parts.

    In the end I got

    VF34 from Jimser

Big scoop and undertray from Peter

    Pink injectors from AndyJDMSTI

    STI TMIC from BobbyC

    Meercat up pipe

Off to see Andy F today and ended up with figures of 334/335 which I'm very happy with. :banana2:

A bit more than I was expecting as well.

VF34 spools up a bit later than the TD04 but when it winds up................

Andy said I could've got another 10BHP if I had a different backbox but I like the sound I get

    with my current set up.

So, thanks to everyone that was willing to part with their parts and also to everyone that I've been

sending PM's to asking them questions about things they had done/where they got this or that etc etc

You know who you are!!!!

Had a great drive on the way home

  5. I've got a MY05 Blobeye WRX and recently fitted the larger scoop and undertray that came off a Blobeye STI.

Think I might've read that you have to stick with the same model??? Don't know what the Hawkeye is like.

Is the JDM TMIC the same as say STI v9 etc?

I've got an STI TMIC so got the right MY version for the undertray so that the rubber seal was the same fit.

I think earlier STI's had smaller TMICs.

If you don't have the right fit of rubber seal, I don't think you'd be getting the best out of the TMIC???

    IIRC

Oh...you can get an undertray for £65. Not sure if they come with the seal

  6. Hi,

I take it you want really good ones with WRX on them or something?

I was just after a set of mudflaps and got them from ebay.

They have Subaru and the stars on them. Really cheap but not as good

    as some of the others.

  7. LOL! nah not for sale... well and truely fixed to the car!

I Took photos off them when I was fitting it a few months back just for comparison in the event a thread liek this comes up so peopel can see the differences.. <_<

    Haha...quality.

    Now that's forward planning!!!!

  8. I dont think the one in the first link is an sti intercooler, its a wrx one with sti painted on by the looks of it.

If you count across the number of rows on the one in your ebay link and then compare it to the one on scoobynet it looks like it is shorter. ( hope this makes sense )

And you are correct....33 to 29.

The seller on ebay is selling 2 'Sti' intercoolers.....both with 29 rows!!! <_<

Now...is this always the case? Were older Sti ones the same size?

I guess as long as I know the size/version I need has 33??

  9. Cheers everyone.

The forum comes to my noob aid again!!!

I'll definitely hold out for an Sti one.....as long as it's not a disguised WRX one!!!

Al.....cheers for the photos. Top man.

You didn't go and take them just for me did you??? <_<

And if that Sti TMIC isn't in a car......is it for sale!!!

  10. Hi folks,

Regarding the above....does the TMIC have a Subaru part number on it?

The reason I ask is that I'm trying to source one and there are a couple of ebay.

    One being.....

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=140273882291

Problem with the seller is that someone has put negative feedback saying they sell it as an STI TMIC

    but it isn't.

I sent the seller a message asking if there was a part number on the TMIC so I could check that it would

fit my car and was told they couldn't find one.

If there isn't one....fine....but if there should be! :rotfl:

    Just the ebay paranoia!!!! :rotfl:

While I'm on the subject of TMIC's....how many of you have aftermarket jobs?

    Ebay again...

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=120315007734

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=120313943721

As I've been told by others...they look ok..but would fitting be a problem?

I'm trying to source an Sti one but if I can't....who do I go for?

    Cheers
