  1. some pics from a great day, went as far as Penrith, couldn't believe the support on every flyover.
  2. Got my whiteline goodies fitted a few weeks back and was well happy with service and the cars handling. The car is going back to Hypertech in a couple of weeks to get some work done before my trip to AndyF
  3. I'm looking for the same thing, think the PFR 7B's are 19mm reach, need 26.5mm for the hawkeye. Boyakasha, are the NGK ILFR7H colder plugs or is that the standard ones? cheers Iain
  4. My favourite road too, very fast, drove it a few times, head of the m74 just to have a wee shot on it. You could do part of the journey, rather than the full trip and still be part of it

  7. Does the group buy make much difference to cost? I've just ordered walbro fuel pump, full 3" milltek decat system and VF34 turbo(ported to suit from AndyF) for my GB270, so ready to arrange remap very soon
  8. Very happy, better than I expected. After I came back from hypertech I went a wee run round some of the back roads that I know and was well impressed. Not sure how the fast road settings will be on tyre wear, Duncan informed me that they are not too harsh, sure some of the guys on here will be able to advise you better on that.
  9. Got the whiteline bits fitted on Saturday and must admit I'm very impressed. The service was excellent and the car handles far better, money well spent.
  10. Very sad indeed, thoughts are with both familys.
  11. The car is booked in for this saturday, will let you know.
  12. The GB270 saloons and wagons both have an uprated rear ARB, which is 20mm. I was going for the alloy droplinks and Anti-Lift Kit, decided to get the 24mm Arb at the same time as well as the geometry set up.
  13. I use my car most days, average about 1000 miles per month, use the wifes car now and again to keep the mileage down a bit.
  14. After reading many recommendations for Hypertech, and speaking to Duncan yesterday I'm booked in next saturday for some whiteline goodies. 24mm rear ARB, alloy droplinks, ALK and fast road geometry set up. Duncan gave me all the info i needed and was very helpful, quite happy to travel from Ayrshire for their services.
  15. A fine looking wedding car.
  16. You could persuade your wife that it would be wise for her to upgrade to a golf GTI, then you would have the best of both worlds. My wife has just agreed to that, as long as its "red and has 5 doors". Know what you mean about your car Cal, I've got a GB270 and have added green panel filter, 2nd decat pipe and straight thro centre section, but many a sleepless night has been spent thinking about the VF34 etc, really enjoy the car, especially on the b roads, but it could be doing with just a little more. Emailed Andy F and he can supply the VF34 ported to suit the 2.5. But the thought of trying to explain to the wife why the warranty is fecked if it goes t1ts up has got me questioning if its worth the risk.
  17. The hawkeye a has different downpipe and catpipe from the bugs and blobs, but centre section and backbox are the same length on all newages. The combined length is the same, but the downpipe on the hawkeye is shorter than a bug or blob and the catpipe is longer. Edit:response to Cals post, referring to UK models
  18. John, when I looked at the pics your car caught my eye, looking great, ye don't need the graphics.
  19. was going to post something similar, we are already taxed heavely on fuel so no brainer, the less efficient your car is the more fuel you use and the more tax you pay. Road tax does not take into consideration your fuel emissions over a year as it is mileage dependent.
  20. One of these! http://www.type-25.co.uk/
  21. 230 to a tank with mixed driving, I got 250 to a tank with my 2.0l wrx
