Hi Barry, welcome to the forum The choices really are endless, before shopping around try to decide what model varient you want, WRX, STi, Classic or Newage, import or UK Spec and so on. There is a lad on here called Dan (ScoobyWhore) who just bought an MY05 (I think) UK spec STi through the car shop, he says the service was top and could not pick a fault with anything they did. Dont think they would do an import though. I suspect they would take your Type R in part ex without any probs, source the Scoob for you, bring it onto the island, put it through a Manx test if neccessary and then register it here saving you a whole load of time and hastle Welcome once again mate, anythiung else you know where to find us

I can understand why you feel like this mate, I live in Crosby and use this road almost on a daily basis, not the sort of road to be overtaking on If it had gold wheels I think I know the car but I dont know the owner, had it had aftermarket silver alloys then I think I know who it might have been

why especially on the Isle of Man? regardless of where you are, you should never drive outwith your own abilities especially if you do not know the road you are driving on driving in the Isle of Man is no different to driving anywhere else

Cheers guys, had a chilled out day today really, went out for lunch but thats about it for today, maybe I am getting old Not having too many jars tonight as I have to have the car up to Ramsey for 8am (will post why tomorrow night) but I am off work til Tuesday so have plenty time yet

Yeah was good except my car breaking down, or not starting as the case was. An earth strap had come off on the way to Peel so when I parked up and switched off it would not fire again, we got it turning over but she would not start so we decided to give it a wee push but when we pushed it out of the space it left a trail of fuel behind it. It looked like it was coming from where the lines leave the tank so we had it jacked up with the rear seats out and everything. As it turned out when we were turning it over she had flooded big time and the engine fired the fuel out the exhaust and it was leaking out of one of the joins in the exhaust, thankfully got it started and drove home no problem. Had me panicing though dude

The shout has been put out mate 1pm at the Creg Na Baa for a quick (soft) drink and a blast over the mountain, a splash and dash you might say A few stops here and there with some nice roads in between You can find pics of my car in the SIDC garage, just so you know who to come look for at the Creg

Barry Currans have just sold their first new shape STi in gun metal grey and not blue Went for a peek today, it is nicer looking car in the metal than the pics and boy is it big, I know cars are getting bigger with all the safety stuff but flippin' 'eck!!. Still not so keen on it though, they should have called it something other than Impreza, it just not an Impreza. Oh and the rear lights are just a shambles Unfortunately I could not find out who had bought it but I am sure we will see it around soon enough I am told that dealers are only allowed limited numbers of stock STi's, as in BC is only allowed one at a time
