  1. well, dropped the car off this morning to have the arches done, they said I should have it back saturday morning at the latest, hopefully they have no problems here are a couple of pics taken last night after the suspension mods
  2. Thanks for the comments That concrete barrier you mention is there because the car is on one side of the quay and Peel Castle is on the other. I s'pose someone who knows what they are doing could maybe photoshop that bit out, dont fancy doing it myself though
  3. Went out and about last night with a mate for a test shoot to try out some locations he had found for photographing cars for some of the local papers, he ended up taking nearly 200 shots  I thought I would share a few with you all, he has asked for as much feedback as possible so what do you think?
  4. Yes mate it sure was, what with fitting this lot and having to take Project X to the test centre again on Saturday before finishing off the Scoob Had a lazy day on Sunday though Dropping off the Scoob first thing tomorrow morning to CC Automotive to have the arches done, hopefully they can roll them without needing paint but the price they gave me if it does need paint work is pretty good so we will see Could be without the car for half a day or 2 days depending on if it needs paint or not, keep your fingers crossed
  5. Well, spent all day Friday and most of Saturday fitting all my suspension goodies. I had planned to take loads of work in progress pics but did not really have time, just cracked on to get it all done Took the car to P.A.C.E. first thing on Friday morning, after a quick tidy up and moving of some rally cars my car was put up on the ramp We got the front end done first, anti-roll bar, drop links, coilovers and anti-lift kit forgot to take a pick of the anti-lift kit once the new parts were fitted on the front attention was then directed to the back stripped off the old parts then also dropped out the rear diff and T-bar the old diff and t-bar bushes were burned out and replaced with some nice new Powerflex ones then we fitted the Whiteline rear anti-roll bar and drop links also got the new tyres mounted this was as far as we got on the Friday half eight Saturday morning and I was back to finish off first job was to fit the rear coilovers, then to make sure everything was nipped up properly put the wheels back on and dropped it to the deck, it sat ok at the front but the rear was a little hight so back up it went, wheels back off and an adjustment of about 20mm was made to the rear the ride height was now acceptable, so a quick adustment of the camber was made then a quick run round the yard was made to try and settle the suspesion a bit, back into the garage and more adjustments were made to the camber along with the wheel alignment sorting out took the car out for a run along some back roads then back to the garage for more checking eventually we settled on the following Front - two deg neg camber with a bit of toe out Rear - three quarters of a deg of neg camber and a little toe in as most of you know I do not use the car everyday so did not need to play safe with a road set up, the turn in with the above settings is unbelievable the car feels so much more positive on the road and gives you so much confidence, the anti-lift kit works a dream too, makes a huge difference only downer is that the rear arches catch the tyres now that is next on the to do list cant wait to get it back on the track though Big thanks to Ian @ P.A.C.E for his time, help and use of the ramp More thanks go to Graeme @ Whiteline UK for supplying the coilovers, anti-roll bars, drop links and anti-lift kit before after
  6. There are loads mate, that 100 was my initial stock that arrived to the shop You can order one here Colin McRae Rally Legend DVD
  7. great pics but some idiot keeps parking a car infront of the aircraft looking good
  8. Here are the sprint results from Saturday Motorfest Sprint Results
  9. cool pictures John really enjoyed it today, especially in the wet with the 4 wheel drifts my tyres look like this after today yeah I think so, Peter said he would have given me a shot today if he had not blown the turbo on it he said he was surprised how strong my car comes in with the power and how quick it was, obviously does not stop like his and that was the only thing he picked up on but thats next on the list after the suspension work is done but dont tell Hels
  10. you dont need these by PM mate do a search in this section for Barry Curran there are loads of stories in here, unfortunately usually bad ones
  11. good choice, bound to be one in this list somewhere mate Dealer List
  12. LOL, what time did you get? Jokes aside I hope she is ok mate Got some more to do to the car yet mate, but am really please with my results yesterday
  13. here are a few pics from today, had a wicked day and the Scoob performed really well in the sprints, I came second only to a supercharged Ariel Atom, well pleased. cant wait to see your vid Mark of me going up the strip, will also be asking for a copy of the footage shot with the Duke cameras, especially the in car stuff from when I had the bullet cam in my car
  14. LMAO @ "different" do you not find the car has alot better turn in? you will have the rose jointed ones on yours yes? I have that type as standard too but Graeme and George at Whitline UK told me that the rose jointed ones can become noisey and that they use the solid ones on all thier own cars, road and track, so I took thier advice and got the solid ones it is like torture walking into my garage at the moment, there is one pile of parts for the Scoob and another pile for Project X that I cant put on until it has passed the test
  15. you are more than welcome to have a go in it dude wait til you feel all of the 98bhp come in, it will blow your socks off just give me a shout when you have some time to pop out to the house

  18. whit size is yer heed mon?
  19. you will need to bring your hellmutt mate and I dont mean my wife
  20. First update in here for a while, a new year and new mods not really done anything to the car since last year other than fit some mud flaps, sorry no pics anyway, Christmas came early today and I now have this little lot waiting to go on check out these bad boys front and rear adjustable anti-roll bars, come with poly bushes to suit race spec anti-lift kit front and rear drop links new rubber This little lot combined and I will be cornering as if I was on rails I could fit all the suspension parts myself but would not be able to set them up so I have decided to have Ian @ Pace fit it all and set it up as the car needs to have its rear diff bushes and T bar bushes done anyway (replacing these with poly ones from Powerflex), unfortunately he cant fit the car in until 2 weeks today due to the rally next weekend, I am gutted but I would rather have it fitted and set up properly rather than rushed. Any one got a fast forward button? cant wait, shame the track day is this weekend but the Scoob will be sorted for the next one
