  7. Hi folks, another wee update for ya'll The clutch is in it has made a huge difference, I can now really feel the change in the car from the last wave of mods. She feels so strong and willing to pull all the way, with the way Richard mapped the car there is no real belt as the boost comes in just an almighty surge as the boost climbs and holds 1.1 all day long. Still trying to get used to driving the car slowly with this new clutch, I have embarrasingly stalled a few time pulling away from traffic lights but I think I am starting to get it now. Cant wait to get the boost turned up to 1.4 bar now, its gonna be a whole different animal Only issue I have now is that with the new clutch in we have found the T bushes (I think Ian called them) on the diff are worn and allowing the diff to hit the underside of the floor under hard acceleration, so these will be replaced with poly ones shortly after the New Year, hopfully along with some new suspension, ARB's and the poly bushes for the rest of the suspension. Well thats it for 2007 as far as my modding goes, will update you all again after the holidays. Have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year
  8. I have 100 copies sitting here just now, there were 12.5k on back order on our computer system for trade and mailorder.
  9. The Colin McRae Tribute DVD has at last arrived with me here in the shop The blurb During 2007, a Duke production team was tasked with producing the definitive documentary about Colin McRae. With full access to all the WRC recordings of Colin's championship years, plus other rally and family archive, director Mark Cross was able to compile the most comprehensive career record yet of this remarkable sportsman. Working closely with McRae Motorsport Ltd, we also had rare and exclusive access to Colin during a hectic year in which he was about to launch his first production rally car, the amazing R4, was contracted to the X-raid BMW team for Dakar 2008, was involved in the launch of the latest version of his hugely successful computer game 'Colin Mcrae-Dirt' and was seriously considering a return to the WRC. The crew also joined Colin driving the R4 in public for the first time at Goodwood and thrilling the crowds in his unique Ford Escort Mk 2 at the Manx National Rally. Finally, in late August, only afew weeks before the tragic accident that claimed the lives of Colin, his son Johnny and two family friends, we were especially privileged to spend two days in Lanark with Colin and his family. Here Colin talked candidly about every aspect of his career and life, his favourite and not-so-favourite, drives, events, teams and his plans for the future. This is his story - the story of a true rally legend. "Don't think this is a hastily-prepared tribute rushed out in time for Christmas - nothing could be further from the truth. Duke Video had been commissioned to make an authorised biography of McRae at the start of 2007, and was given unparalleled access to the private life of one of rallying's true greats. "It followed Colin's activities through the first half of 2007, including his R4 production car project (which he can be seen demonstrating at Goodwood) and the launch of the Colin McRae: Dirt computer game. "The 90-minute film is interspersed with some full and frank interviews with the Scot. Some of the most poignant moments were filmed just a few weeks before the helicopter accident which claimed his life. "Anyone who truly appreciated Colin's bravery and skill behind the wheel really should have this DVD in their collection." Motorsport News, December 5, 2007.
  10. Looks like fun, so will we see you up at the Autocross events and the Auto Tests when they start? Clutch is in dude but still running 1.1bar for now, gonna ramp it up after the new year once Ian can fit me in. He is off Island at the mo looking at a rolling road set up he wants so might even wait til thats installed before having the boost turned up. Gonna have to do some bushes after New Year and thinking about suspension too, heading to the Autosport show for work in January so will probably order up these parts while I am there.

I know some of you have been in here and posted since I posted up and sent out the menu before I went away so there are no excuses If I do not have my list complete by Friday I will have no choice but to cancel the booking, not exactly going to reflect well on the club now is it?

  20. Sorry your leaving us for a while dude, hope you come back soon I think if you are only going over for a couple of years tops then coming back here there is no reason you cant leave it on Manx plates, would just mean you would need to come back for your road tax once a year, would also save you from the hassle of having it UK tested, re-registered and MOT'd
