  3. You are more than welcome to join me for a blast anytime mate, just give me a shout, have PM'd you my mobi number There are various meets through the year just keep your eye open in here, we have the Manx ScoobyFest comming up in July between the 18th and 24th tying in with the rally that weekend, there will be a number of scoobs comming from across as well so there should be a good turnout. You can find more info on this here http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/thread/872739.aspx and here http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/thread/896723.aspx Have also given you more info about Scoobyfest in the PM I have sent you []
  4. fully understand that mate I realise it is warrenty covered (or at least should be) but have you had it looked at anywhere else to try and find the problem? somewhere like South Coast Performance in Douglas should be able to have a look and they certainly know what they are doing.
  5. Hi and welcome to the SIDC forums dude There seems to be alot of this sort of service with Barry Curran at the moment, I really hope it does not tar the marque for you as they are such great cars. From what I understand they do not even have a qualified Subaru trained technition at BC's just now. []
  6. Does it have white wheels on it mate? and about £10K If so I am hearing stories the fella has had a change of heart about selling it, I may be wrong however hang on this one ? http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/thread/915430.aspx PM the fella, I dont know him personally but I am sure he will be able to tell you if it is still for sale
  7. Just noticed this thread is this them mate? they were here the other weekend, feel sorry for the fella in the classic, think it was his first visit here and he went home with his Scoob in the back of a truck because his gearbox threw a couple of cogs or summat.
  8. Hello & welcome to the SIDC forums and the Isle of Man section [Y] What is your buget for your front mount? There are loads out there from a few dodgy ones on Ebay to the full on proper Jap made ones like HKS the ones, just really depends on how much you wanna spend on it.
  9. LMAO love the peanut one []
  10. Morning dudes Did not get the garden done on saturday, (too much to do with a shovel and wheel barrow so we are gettin a digger again for this coming weekend) so spent the day cleaning the car,,,, again,,,, then went for a lap and got it covered in bugs so I had to clean it again Sunday then did another lap (I am so enjoying driving this car). I think Hels is starting to feel like a Subaru widow [] Cheers Graeme, I noticed it was open about half way up the road, dunno how it had come open. Truck looked sweet by the way, nice and shiney [] Evening pub meet sounds good to me Richard, you could always make it the Crosby as it is within staggering distance from my house [] seriously though, I am good to meet wherever, any excuse to get out in the car (like I need one). Nix, I touch goats [Y]
  11. cheers for that, guess I wont get to go as dark as I would like then []
  12. Afternoon Dudes and Dudettes !! Thats it then,,,, booked my time off work for ScoobyFest I am gonna love July. 2 and a half weeks off work. YEEHAA !!! The first week taken up with the F1 @ Silverstone then a trip to London for lots of clubs and restraunts then back home to enjoy the rally and have the full on un-interupted ScoobyFest experience, cant wait [H] Looks like the weekend is gonna be a good one, just as well, I've got loads of earth to move around in the back garden after having the digger in through the week excavating my working on the car space at the back of the house, oh yeah and Helens patio at the top of the garden [] Hope you all have a great weekend, see you on the other side
  13. I tend to resize my pics so they will fit within the narrow column the posts are in which brings down the file size, but deffinately a good idea. [Y] I find it so annoying when someone posts loads of pics of their car and I can only to see the front end, then have to scroll to the bottom to move the bar along to come back up and see the rear [:@]
  14. enjoy your truck dude see you soon
  15. From the way he went into the ditch and threw up all that crap I would suspect there may be some scratches or something somewhere on the offending car Cheers for checking John [Y]
  16. Am still gutted your gettin rid mate [] I think it is terrible the service you and a few others have had from BC lately and I feel it is that shocking service which is driving you all away from the marque.
  17. John and Donna came to the house for a cuppa today and John said there is one that parks round the corner from BC's in Ramsay identical to the one I described. In hindsight I should have reported it at the time mate, not that the Police could do anything about it as he did not actually crash or cause me to, and the fact I did not get the plate does not help. I will deffinately be on the look out for him and if I do see him again I will say something
  18. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! []
  19. Dunno where to start really [:@] Was just now coming back from Ramsey to Douglas over the mountain. I was taking it easy (about 70ish) as the Helen was in the car with me when this complete kn0b comes flying up behind me in a bog standard, everyday run of the mill Forrester (Burgundy with black plastic bumpers, did not get the plate unfortunately). He pulled up behind me so close he could probably see what was on the back seat of my car. Then on a rather dangerous right hand bend he puls out and goes past, he then had to pull back in for the sharp blind left that was to follow (if there had been any cars coming the other way he would have been screwed). He pulled in and got it completely wrong and ended up pulling right off the road into the ditch (you know how the tarmac just stops and there is nearly a foot drop before the grass verge?) on the inside of the left hand bend nearly putting the Forrester on its side as he forced it back out. This completely freaked out the Mrs who thought he was gonna crash and us into him, (which upset her enough for her to properly cry) not to mention what I can only describe as the boulders he threw up behind him and into the front of my car. [:@] It has taken me 20 mins to calm Helen down, and now my pride and joy has a chipped windscreen and a whole load of chips on the front end. [] I am so angry [:@] I mean I was doing 70ish, was there any need to go past me? was there something that important he felt he had to go past? Its w4nkers like that, that cause the accidents and fatalities on the mountain which the health and safety, nanny state, speed limit campaigners pick up on. These are the drivers who are spoiling it for everyone else, people such as ourselves, who respect the road and do not abuse the fact it has no speed limit driving outwith the cars ability let alone thier own. Oh and I did check the back of the car and there was nothing on it saying "race me" and thinking back I did nothing to give him the idea I wanted to either. [:@][:@][:@][:@]
  20. dunno what you did but can see them now All i can say is "fantastic" You guys are a true credit to SIDC and although I no longer live in Edinburgh it makes me truely proud to be a Scot Well done guys and gals [Y]
  21. The main reason I ask the same old question mate is 'cause I am on the Isle of Man We do not have MOT's here so dont have to worry about silly things such as emissions, so was wondering if we here could get away with a little darker tints than you guys across also
  22. cant see any of them dude, page keeps comin up as cannot be displayed []
  23. Does anyone know if they are as strict here as they are across? How dark can I go?
  24. IMHO it looks much better now mate [Y] I have never been sure about gold rims on a silver car
  25. Sounds like you have had a right torrid time of late, sorry to hear about your cat dude [] It seems like we hear nothing but bad stories at the moment about aftersales at Subaru dealers around the country. After the praise they had in the JD Power Survey in past years. You dont have to thank me for the lift offers mate, that is the way I am. If I can help someone out then I will always do so. Hope to see you again soon mate by the way Graeme I touch goats []
