  3. the teflon was never meant to refurbish paint like on the bonnet ot that car ,your being silly now bud .the teflon polish was a quick fix for people who dont have the time to become anal retentive about keeping cars clean some people do have more in life to do than clean cars . it coated glass ,alloy wheels a sort of one stop product . if i wanted any info on how to clean cars i would ask my older son gavin who owns GP Valet services... question m8 how long dit it take you to bring up that finish and how many products ,be honest and was it by hand ???? most people just want to clean there cars some want it "detailed" world of difference . any paint will get swirls in or holograms with washing eventully dont care how carefull you are,one bucket ,2 bucket sponge ,woolen mit its a fact of life SH*T happens lets agree to dissagree and do our own thing by the way i have been washing and polishing cars since i was 15 years old i am now 55,now thars a lot of washing m8 geo

  10. dont underseal your car paul its the worst thing you can do . water creeps under it and eats away at the metal, underseal breaks off ,rust has been eating away at the metal, waxing the underside is the best process you can see any forthcomming problens as its see through and if breached it creeps a certain amount to heal the damage.i have used wax on all my cars for years ,first waxoil then mercedes benz wax. never had any problems with any cars i have done cheers geo

  19. how many of you guys out there that SLAG the new hatch have driven one, and really given the car some stick .the new hatch will out run any old hawkeye sti by a mile .the punch through the lower gears is brill .its comfortable to drive ,its great to be able to see out the rear window,no spoiler in the way .having 3 maps to drive the car in makes the fuel cons good and cruise control works great on long journeys .having had all the scoobies i think this cars a winner ,ok its got all the handling problems that all the cars suffered thats why we modify them ,so lay off them and give them a chance ,cause you will most likley buy one eventually cheers geo

  22. hi guys we are now doing the front suspension and brakes first job was to strip down hubs and clean up the surface corriosion hub have no coating on them so they rust quickly hubs cleaned up and painted with rust primer then top coated cv joints painted as are the drive shafts once the paint cured i fitted the whiteline roll centre adjusting kit the steering arms also painted ,then the second part of r.c.a. kit the trank rod ends here you can see the difference between the modified ball joint and the standard one here is the track rod ends the kit cures bump steer by lifting the hub height allowing the suspension to work in the full arc without causing steering tug when the suspension goes on to full compression (lay mans terms) req with lowered suspension and coilovers thealloy arms were cleaned and new whiteline plus front bushes pressed in to them having already fitted whiteline motorsport anti lift kit front anti roll bar 24mm for tarmac with motorsport drop links time now to fit all the brake parts ie caliper mounts and back plates //these stop the track rod and ball joint rubbers getting fried by the heat produced on the discs (radiated heat) all bolts are coated with anti-seize compound for ease of assembly//then dissmantling ,no seized up bolts some of you eagle eyes may have noticed the normal rubber brake pipes on the calipers, these are temp pipes so we could get the system bled to check for leaks in all the pipework .we make all our own brake pipes for the cars with aeroquip ends and s/steel pipe .the system on the car has been moded from diagonal split to front and rear split ,so the hydraluic hand brake could be used . when the front pipes are fitted we will bleed again with dot 4 fluid when we are satisfied alls well then Ate racing blu will be bled through after the master cylinder is emptied Ate, RB and dot 4 are compatible the steering rack bushes have already been done cheers geo GP Motorsport
