  1. Well to be fair, my one chirps on starting every now and then anyways, and I do a lot of miles, and some longer journeys regularly, I have the standard Alarm/Imobiliser and I have a tracker fitted (Tracker™)... My car will NORMALLY sit for a month to 6 weeks at a time though... whilst I'm at work, and Ive never had a problem starting her when I get home... so I think perhaps a change of Battery might to you the power of good...
  2. Fired a few L85s in the past few years... even used to be able to strip it down blindfolded, well, in the dark anyways, was part of basic training... Oh and Cal, theres a photography trip on to Cultybraggen on the 19th... Flickr
  3. Hi Guys! Just received an e-mail from one of the organisers of the Granite City Rally, asking for anyone that may be interested in marshalling at this years event. According to the ADMC website the date for the Rally is Saturday 26th April and by the looks of things there would also be one training evening sometime before the event. I believe that if there is only a few of us interested then the idea would be to keep us on the same stage. I've no real details about this event as yet, but as and when I do, I will post it up here. All are welcome to come along. If you are interested, can you either reply here or PM me (or both if you like) and we'll see about getting you involved! Cheers!
  4. Allyb was just saying the other week(?) that he just changed his battery, think he might have been having similar problems to you, but perhaps not as bad, with the engine being slow to start, does the alarm blip every now and then when you start up the car? Oh and is the alarm not an added extra... the immobiliser light on the dash I thought was designed in, the alarm was fitted after...? the alarm If I am right is an aftermarket one, rebadged for Subaru...? not sure about that though, but no one makes better alarms than alarm companies, why make them yourself...
  5. Well my usefullness has just expired...
  6. have you tried checking the ECU fault codes? think that could be the best way to go mate! There's a really good write-up on how to do it here: Reading ECU codes (classic Impreza only)
  7. p.s. I know exactly how you feel
  8. It would be crazy for the government to raise duty on fuel any more, they really would feel the power of the people then... the level of taxation on fuel is already way past greed, to raise it any further is suicide!
  9. Nice one! Really looking forward to this!! I just REALLY HOPE that I'm going to be at home...
  10. WTTC...? Riiiiiiight....
  11. Well I cant help you on who DID send it because I dont know, but some things might be best left a secret!!! Thats a nice gift!
  12. Yeah, I've been checking back every now and then to see if its been updated at all, so to see it with a bit of a makeover... Also good to see the positive attitude that the family are taking, and that THEY WANT TO CARRY HIS NAME ON!!! I'm looking forward to later in the year even more now.... I need to go fix my website now though, as the have taken the banner down that I was linking from....
  13. I said that bit of Halibut (Fash) was good enough for Jehova! Yeah youve done a cracking job Stephen, but then a time comes that you gotta do what you gotta do... and you know Au Naturale do some very nice soft furnishings at a fraction of the price of John Lewis...
  14. thing is about those rear lights is that you wont get them in the uk, remembering that they dont have orange indecators... their indecators are red over there are they not?
  15. OOOOh! Death-machine!!!
  16. Hello stranger! PC broken... is that why you never post much...
  17. No its not that, what he said mate was that if he did get them done that they woul dbe prone to being stonechipped in no time... nothing stopping you, but they are prone to the stonechips... Have to admit that I was tempted to do it myself, still in 2 minds though, as Ive seen anoter car like mine (bit more rare in the colour) with colour matched sideskirts... and now I'm less keen on it...
  18. impressive video Grant... I admit that I am the first on the bandwagon to slag the new one off, but then I have my reasons, which I standby, fair dos though, Evos are poop, that's proven, and that's an impressive run by the new car...
  19. I belive that from previous threads people are fairly set on the Ferodo DS2500... I've put them on my rears already and I'll put then on the fronts too when the time comes... Edit: Oh yeah forgot, I seem to remember someone commenting on the EBC red stuff eating their discs...
  20. Nice one Andy! I thought that watching this vid without the pace notes, was just bizzare.... It was like watching a couple on the way to the shops almost, you know, Like theres no urgency to it like.... but then you see the road ahead and you KNOW thats fast... Some superb footage, and a nice Find Callum!
  21. Yeah at the same time I did the Goodridge hoses all round and put DS2500 pads in the back...
  22. nice motor, concur with Oobster... De-tango!
  23. Oh and whilst I'm at it, would probably be worth your while to fit Goodridge Hoses whilst you are at it! Oh and as I was just on, I notice that Scoobyparts have the Prodrive 330mm kit for £1500 now, about the same as you will pay at the dealers before discount... first time I've seen it anywhere except the dealers... and scooobyworld have the AP kit for £1600 - but you can get it a LOT cheaper than that I think... Speaking of which mate, You know about being a member mate, you get a 10% discount from the main dealers (ther is a list somewhere) and its also listed in True grip, the membership pays for itself really, worth getting if your going to spend any pennies on your car from them and a few other places...
  24. Mebbe have to have a look for it... Like a good b-movie every now and then...
