  1. Great weekend, everyone seemed to have a great time, to give you an idea of how many cars were at Banbury it took 1 hour and 15 mins to clear all the car parks.

Wilky probably drew one of the biggest crowds when he played with the launch control, the crowd was 3-4 deep just to have a look.

Nice to meet and chat to so many SIDC members and other drivers.

Hats off to Grant, Imy and Andy, also Jackie and Ben at Prodrive for organising such an amazing event. To the marshalls that did the whole weekend, sterling job you should proud and for those of us conscripted Saturday night I think we got of lightly judge by how shattered Nanaki was by the end.

Like so may people asked yesterday when's the next one.........? :)

P.S. Thanks to St3ph3n and Nicola for the food.

  2. Insured with KM made a claim February no issue and good to deal with (approved repairers were terrible 12weeks to repair - but not insurers fault)

Just got my renewal that I was dreading and same as last year, had done a search last week and cheapest was £100 more.

Also KM do a mirror policy so Type R is with them as well.

  3. another lucky escape not only for welsho but also me as some auld git tried to run me of the road. did you see it Robert? He hesitated so long on passing that truck and then when i went to pass he decided to pull out, lucky it was quite a wide bit of road. Then he growls at me when i do pass him :D wot i say to him.

Thought you were going off road for a moment, you gave the guy long enough to overtake the tractor and then you signal, start passing and he pulls out. Tw*t.

Anyway good run, roads were fun and not to busy.

  4. Well final got the Type R mapped today, everything went well and no problems or issues. Gone the Apexi route so no figures but Andy says typical for my car and mods is around the 330 mark.

Hoping to get a good run tonight as had to come back to work, just told them I was away to a meeting. (for 4 1/2 hours  )

Now to start saving again for Stage 2.

  5. If you take the price of your WRX with money spent to date then add the cost of what you want to do, then compare the price of the RA and deduct a sensible figure you would sell your car for. More than likely you will be better of getting the RA. Add the fact the RA is a better car.

    You know it makes sense.

  6. I'll be back on track once I'm mapped won't make the next one thought as at the McRae Gathering.

Buffalo it is well worth doing the KH driving experience if its your first time. I did it an learn an awful lot, lines, gears and how my car handed when you really push it.

If your worried about tyres you can hire some and as for brakes remember to let them cool properly between stints on track.

Other ways to get quieter track time is Track Scotland have events and Hot Marques if your car is over £10k.
