  1. Welsho >> thought you had tinsel on your car??

My exhaust blow it off. Rev'd the car that much at George Square I made his mirror vibrate. :icon_salut:

Had a great day, great organisation as usual, hospital even had consent forms signed for photos with some of the children.

Considering most of the year was taken up with the Gathering, 3k in a couple of months is an amazing effort.

Best decorated car went to Burgy51 but think the judges were bias they were his kids.

    Until next year.

    Scooby Santa B) B) Ho-Ho-Ho

  2. On the way home from Santa Cruise dump valve has stopped making a noise. HKS one that makes a loud blow off, had developed a slight chirp after last trackday but never thought much about it.

Car still ran fine but concerned if it isn't opening that I will be doing damage. Also can you get servicing kits for these or is it buy a new one?

  3. early saturday morning you sure you werent just pished?

I complained to the bank once that money had been taken out my account at 12.30am with out my knowledge.

The got the records out and told me where and when, suddenly had a flash back of coming back from a night out a little worse for wear and buying food. And then the penny dropped. :)

  4. As Ally said forms available from me, hoping that lots of Glasgow/Strathclyde members will raise money. We know lots of money was raised for the Mcrae Gathering, these's a recession and it's coming up to Christmas but every little helps.

It real is a worthwhile cause which I found out last year when I was fortunate enough to visit one of the wards dressed as the big fellow in the red suit. The joy and happiness that you bring just by giving a gift and having a wee chat is amazing.

Anyone unable to make it to the next meeting or meal at Peter's, PM Ally or me and we will sort out collecting any donation money.

    Thanks

    Robert

  8. Yep, I think I may be looking at the same threads. I actually only want a standard P1/STi 230mm clutch that should be capable of handling 280-300bhp. Not really needing much more, and the said company is doing one for just more than £130 at the moment. I'm just not sure about the quality.

Bought the same one for the Type R and seemed good quality and is working well. Best price I could find also.

  9. Know what you mean about being a bit underwhelmed, but a smooth fairly empty track isn't quite the same as a track day. Is more fun being on track with more cars having to watch your mirrors and lines. Also you start to try to brake later, carry more speed and corner harder.

Also try the track in the pouring rain gets the adrenalin going when the backed steps out unexpectedly.

Sorry can't help with what the rattle is, last metal rattle I had was exhaust heatshield at full power, but that was on a sport.

  10. Did the 'own car' driving experience before my first trackday and was well worth it. You get to learn the track when it is quiet and you gain valuable info on gears, braking points, etc. You can grab the instructor on then trackdays but you have to watch your mirrors more.

I've only done the SIDC days but looking at Hot Marques and Trackscotland next year for more track time, you pay a bit more but there are less cars than Speed Sundays.

  11. Sorry to hijack....but is there anywhere that would fit tyres for you if you've already bought them from

    someone else?

For example....Eagle Asymmetric 215/45/17 on Tyreshopper come in at £396 fully fitted.

Camskill sell 4 tyres for £340 (tyres only)

Would the difference be made up by what a garage would charge for fitting?

Richie try Mercury Autos in Hillington does fitting for mytyres.com. Decent bloke got him to rotate my tyres to stop uneven wearing.
